Information messages in Viber

What are informational (or transactional) messages, and why are they needed?

Any message is a reason to remind a customer about your store.

There are two types of messages in Viber campaigns: informational and promotional. The difference is in the cost.

Informational Viber messages are service, transactional messages of a non-advertising nature about an event, operation, or transaction.

Why are information messages useful?

Informational messages keep the customer informed about his order, thereby reducing the number of calls that not everyone likes, and reduce the workload on store managers.

You can send information messages with:

• card or bank account details for paying for the order,

• the amount to be paid,

• confirmation of successful payment,

• delivery address,

• BPL number,

• personalized birthday greetings,

• percentage of the customer's discount, amount of bonuses on their account,

• contact details of the store,

• data on fiscal sales - link to the ECR, fiscal number of the ECR check, fiscal number of the ECR, check number in Torgsoft,

• information on the status of the repair of goods - the number and amount of the repair, the status and commentary on the status of the repair,

• data on sales of goods for sale by the supplier-committee - name and article of goods, amount and quantity of goods sold.

Transactional Viber messages are template messages. They need to be created and registered in the personal account of the TurboSMS, after which they will be checked by Viber for compliance with the rules.

What do I need to send a mass newsletter?

In order to send newsletters from Torgsoft

1. The accounting program Torgsoft, Ultra or Terminal version.

2. The option "Mass mailing".

3. An account in TurboSMS, a contract with Viber, activation and subscription of the sender's name - a monthly payment for using your own Viber sender costs 8,400 UAH.

4. You can set up message templates in your TurboSMS account and in Torgsoft → Marketing → Bulk email.

How do I create a transactional message template?

Upgrade to the latest version of Torgsoft (from 2022.0.20 and higher)

Go to Torgsoft → Marketing → Bulk mailing → Setting up bulk mailing templates. Create a message template taking into account the variables you need. 

For example, 

Good afternoon. Your order for the account <account number> in the amount of <account amount> UAH has been sent. TTN is <declaration number>. Thank you for your purchase!

Copy the entire text of your template message.

Go to your Turbo SMS personal account → Templates → Add Viber template. Choose the type of template - Transactional, and paste the template copied from Torgsoft.

Instead of the variables from Torgsoft, you need to put the % symbol and the serial number so that TurboSMS recognizes where there is dynamic data.

Good afternoon. Your order for account %1% in the amount of %2% UAH has been sent. THE BOL IS %3%. Thank you for your purchase!

Please note. You can no longer edit the texts in the templates of information messages after they have been approved. The only information that will change there are variables, i.e., dynamic data, such as order number, consignment note, etc. that are automatically substituted from the accounting program.

Viber considers all messages sent outside the template as advertising. 

What kind of Viber advertising is prohibited?

It is forbidden to send text that contradicts the law, including information about microfinance, cryptocurrencies, fortune-telling, numerology, healing and other similar services, tobacco products, alcoholic beverages, weapons, as well as obscene language, religious or political agitation and calls for mass gatherings, information about any other messengers other than Viber.

• Synchronization with Nova Poshta to generate TTNs and add the dispatch number to the message template.

• Informing the customer to notify suppliers about the sale of goods for sale.

• Bonus system with an expiration date to notify customers about the balance of temporary bonuses.
