Inventory is quick and easy with the Torgsoft Mobile App!
19.12.2016 15:56When inventorying a large amount of goods in large warehouse areas, a problem arises: it is inconvenient to carry the goods to a computer with a scanner, and it is equally inconvenient to carry a computer/laptop around the warehouse. This problem can be solved with the help of the Torgsoft mobile application.
There are two options for taking an inventory using a mobile phone with this application:
- Create an inventory statement in the program for accounting for goods on a PC. Open the Inventory mode, select the required inventory statement (Fig. 1);
Figure 1 (Version 1.6.1 of the application).
- When you click on the Add button, you create an inventory list through the mobile application (Figure 2).
Figure 2 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
1. In the Block goods field, select the desired action from the list (Figure 3):
- Block the product when adding to the listing - as soon as the product is added to the listing, it will be automatically blocked for sale.
- Lock item after the first scan - the item will be locked after you scan the first unit of a particular product.
- Whether to block the goods.
- Block goods for manual accounting.
Figure 3 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
2. If it is necessary to conduct a corrective inventory, turn on the switch to the right of the inscription Adjustments in the trading network.
3. If you need to take into account the quantity of goods in warehouses at the 3rd level, enable the corresponding option.
4. The Description field is automatically filled in - the Statement was created from the mobile application. If desired, you can change the description, for example, write a list of checked product groups. This information can be used later to search for the required information.
After selecting all the options you need, click the Record button (Figure 4).
Figure 4 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
Select the required statement, after which a window for scanning the goods will open.
Figure 5 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
You can scan the product either by using the Scan button (Fig. 5.) The camera of the device for scanning the barcode opens (Fig. 6) or by entering the barcode in this field manually.
Figure 6 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
After each successful scan, the quantity of the item is increased by "1". You can also increase the quantity of an item by clicking on the item in the list of items in the item list. If necessary, you can enter the quantity of the item manually. To do this, go to the mode settings (in the upper right corner) and activate the Request quantity switch and click Apply. It is worth noting that the Request quantity switch will be available if the Enter quantity in inventory setting is enabled when setting up access to the modes of the mobile application (Fig. 7).
Figure 7 (Program version 2020.0.0).
When the switch is activated, after scanning / adding an item to the item list, the change item quantity window will be displayed (Figure 8).
Figure 8 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
If the Add option is selected, the specified quantity will be added to the previously entered/scanned quantity, if the Edit option is selected, the previously entered quantity will be replaced with the specified quantity. After that, click Record.
All the goods that were scanned by the mobile application will be displayed on the Torgsoft PC in the main menu item Inventory statement - select the desired statement and click on the Inventory of goods button.
It is worth noting that in the Inventory Statement (the main program of Torgsoft) at the bottom of the window, the Scan history of goods will be empty because it displays the history of the goods that are in the statement. You can view the history by clicking on the Log button in the Source filter - select Mobile application.
It is also possible to take inventory without connecting to the server. To do this, in the list of statements, select the desired statement, go to the mode settings (in the upper right corner) and select the Download action and click Apply (Figure 9).
Figure 9 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
Next, in the list of information, go to the mode settings and drag the Server connection slider to the left position (Figure 10). If there is no connection to the server, it is automatically disabled.
Figure 10 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
After that, a list of inventory statements that have been loaded into the memory will be displayed (such statements are marked with an icon) (Fig. 11). Select the required statement and carry out the inventory.
Figure 11 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
After the inventory has been taken, you need to upload the statement to the server. To do this, activate the Communication with the server (drag the slider to the right), go to the list that you want to upload, go to the settings and select the Upload action (Fig. 12), while the actual quantity of goods in the list on the server will increase by the amount that was calculated in the application.
Figure 12 (Appendix version 1.6.1).
To delete information from memory, select the Delete action.
In this menu, you can also select a wireless scanner connected to your phone via Bluetooth, such as the Newland BS8060 Piranha 1D (Figure 13).
Figure 13.
Using a compact wireless scanner for inventory can be convenient in various situations, for example, if the mobile application is installed on a tablet with a large screen.
