How easy is it to pick goods with different quantities from the warehouse?
10.06.2025 15:53Entrepreneurs often need to quickly add a large number of items to a document when managing inventory and sales in different stores.
This task is especially relevant for wholesale sales, for example in construction, furniture stores, and stores that operate on a similar principle. Usually, the same items are sold in large volumes, and the same product has to be entered several times using a scanner or the quantity has to be manually edited for each item.
A seller needs to add a large list of items to a sales document, conduct sales with invoice issuance, process write-offs and internal transfers — all of which take a lot of time.
To simplify these actions, the Torgsoft software provides a function for creating a list of items to be added to a document. Items can be selected on the “Stock Status” form in two ways:
-
Ctrl + 1 — adds one unit of an item to the “Selected Items” window

-
Ctrl + Q — opens a quantity input window for one or multiple selected items. You can choose to:
- add one unit,
- add based on available stock,
- enter a custom quantity

Advantages of creating an item list for document addition
The item quantity input feature on the “Stock Status” form provides the following benefits for wholesale sales:
-
Allows for quick creation of an item list and its transfer to a document (e.g., sale's or invoice).
-
Allows stock levels to be recalculated (when using the static warehouse collection method) if warehouse documents are modified.
-
Filtering by date, items, and stock status.
-
Label printing — per unit or for the entire stock quantity.
Stock Status — current features
The “Stock Status” form displays all items available in stock: their quantity, size, retail price, cost, and discount availability. Access to the form is via the main menu: Stock → Stock Status.
In general, creating an item list for document addition significantly speeds up the work of cashiers, warehouse staff, and sales managers.
