"I can't log in to the program" is one of the most common questions to the technical support of TradeSoft. Most often, the request is resolved within 1 minute.
In this article, we will consider common cases and solutions to this problem. Reasons why you cannot log into the program.

1. Forgot the password to the demo version of Torgsoft
This is the most common case. Often, users install the Torgsoft program on their computers despite the information messages of the installer, according to the principle of "Further, further, further".
The default login is sa and the password is 2009. After successfully logging in to the program, do not forget to change the password to a more complex one that you will remember.

2. Incorrect login information for the program
You need to verify the name and password. The CAPS LOCK key may be pressed on your computer, or a different keyboard layout or input language may be enabled. You can verify the correctness of the input by creating a new text document, entering the login and password there, and then copying it into the window when you log in to the program.
Some people mistakenly believe that there is no password for their user because they don't enter it. This is a misconception, there is always a password for the user. In this case, the password is "embedded" in the properties of the shortcut through which the program is launched. Thus, if you change the password for the user, the old shortcut will no longer work and the user will not be able to access the program. After changing the password, you need to re-create the shortcut for connection and put it on the desktop.
3. SQL Server service is not running
The running system service "SQL Server" is a REQUIRED condition for the program and your database to work. You can check the operation of the service, for example, by running the command "services.msc" in the search or in the command line or Start - Search - Services. In the window that opens, you need to find the service named SQL Server and make sure that it has the "Running" status. If the "Status" field is empty, you need to right-click on the service and click "Start". There can be many reasons for stopping the service, so we recommend that you regularly restart the computer where the program is installed two to three times a week. You can restart the program either manually or set it to run automatically when no one is working in the program.

4. Cause common to multiple programs running on a local network
The most common reason is a change in the operation or settings of network equipment. Since with this type of license, the database or the entire program is located on one computer (server), the loss of connection with it leads to the fact that the program cannot be launched or connected to the database on client computers. Often, when this happens, the program shortcut turns white instead of its usual appearance. A typical example of such a problem is when a laptop is connected to another wireless network and the foreign router has completely different network settings that are not suitable for use on your local network.
To solve this type of problem, you need to check that the computers are on the same subnet and can see each other. To do this, make sure that the IPv4 addresses of the network adapters have the same first three numbers, for example, 192.168.0.100 and 192.168.0.101. You can see the IP address assigned to your computer by using the config command, which you need to enter at the command prompt. You also need to make sure that the connection between the computers is not blocked. The built-in firewall of the operating system or the firewall (Fire Wall) of your antivirus can block the connection of the client computer to the server. A firewall is a special program or module that can restrict network connections according to user-selected settings. It's best to disable the firewall while you troubleshoot the problem.
5. Unable to connect to a remote desktop
Sometimes an error occurs when connecting to a terminal server. The error text lists the most likely causes of the error.
