Calculation of retail and wholesale prices by markup and exchange rate

The Torgsoft accounting software includes a feature for automatically recalculating retail prices in UAH based on the foreign currency exchange rate and a set markup.

How to enable the mode?

In the main menu of the program, go to Warehouse → Retail price calculation by markup and exchange rate.

In this mode, you can filter products using the following criteria:

• select a specific store to display only products from this warehouse;

• specify the purchase currency — for example, USD or EUR;

• select only products currently in stock;

• search for a specific product by name, SKU, or barcode.

After setting the filters, click the Update button to view the refreshed list of products.

Table information

For each product, the program displays:

• name, barcode, SKU;

• purchase price in the foreign currency;

• current exchange rate;

• converted purchase price in UAH;

• markup;

• calculated retail price;

• current retail price;

• difference between the old and new retail price.

Changing markup and price

To change the markup, click Product markup, enter a new value, and click Save.

To update the exchange rate, click Exchange rate → Add, select the currency, enter the new buy and sell rates, then click Save.

To manually edit the price, click Edit retail price.

To apply new retail prices, click Set retail price — the product will then be sold at the updated price.

Printing price tags

After recalculating the prices, you can immediately print new labels: click the Print labels for stock quantity button — the program will generate price tags based on the updated data.

This mode enables quick response to changes in exchange rates and automates the update of retail prices, which is especially relevant for businesses purchasing goods in foreign currency.
