How to speed up store operations without hiring additional staff

Torgsoft offers a wide range of tools that help significantly speed up customer service, receiving goods, and performing inventory counts. Below is a list of key capabilities that directly affect the speed of work in a store.

1. Checkout and payment automation

The biggest delays often occur at the payment stage. Torgsoft solves this through integration with equipment and services:

  • Bank terminal connection. When paying by card, the receipt total is automatically transferred from the software to the bank terminal. This eliminates the need to enter the amount manually on the terminal, prevents cashier errors, and speeds up serving the queue. If the option is not connected, the cashier has to enter the amount manually, which takes time.

  • Software ECR. It allows you to fiscalize receipts without using a classic cash register. The receipt is registered instantly on the tax authority’s server and, if needed, can be sent to the customer via SMS, Viber, or email, saving time on printing and replacing receipt paper.

  • Barcode scanning. Using a scanner allows you to instantly add an item to the sale, avoiding manual search by name or SKU. The scanner is also used to quickly identify a customer by a discount card.

2. Faster work with products

The software includes special tools for quickly working with product lists:

  • Multi-line selection and quantity entry (Ctrl+Q). If a customer buys many units of one item or multiple items in bulk, the Ctrl+Q key combination lets you quickly set the quantity for a selected item or group of items without scanning each unit separately.

  • Hotkeys. For experienced users, a set of keyboard shortcuts is available (for example, F6 for payment, F11 to select an item from stock, F12 for returns), which lets you work much faster without a mouse.

  • Photo-based search. In the sales window, you can set up displaying product photos. This helps the cashier visually verify the correct item (especially relevant for products without barcodes) and avoid mispicks.

3. Mobility and inventory counts

Traditional inventory counts often stop store operations. Torgsoft offers modern methods:

  • Torgsoft mobile app lets you perform stocktaking by scanning items with a smartphone camera or a connected Bluetooth scanner. This enables several employees to count items simultaneously right at the shelves without carrying them to a computer.

  • Data collection terminal (DCT). Using professional DCTs allows you to quickly collect information on a large number of items and upload it into the software for reconciliation.

  • Network availability check. A salesperson can instantly check availability of the required size or model in other stores of the chain via the “Product availability across the retail network warehouses” function, without calling colleagues.

4. Fast receiving and product labeling

  • Invoice import. Instead of manually entering thousands of items, supplier invoices can be imported from Excel. The software can automatically create new product cards, recognize existing ones, and update prices.

  • Weighing and scales. For weighed goods (food, construction materials), you can connect electronic scales that transfer the weight directly to the software or print a barcode label for later scanning at the checkout.

  • Barcode generation. If goods arrive without labeling, Torgsoft automatically generates unique barcodes and lets you quickly print labels.

5. Logistics and online sales

For stores that ship goods by post:

  • Nova Poshta integration allows you to create shipping waybills directly from the sales invoice in Torgsoft. Recipient data is filled in automatically, saving time on shipment creation.

  • Online store synchronization and marketplace integration. Orders from Prom, Rozetka, or your own website automatically arrive in the software, reserve stock, and generate invoices, eliminating the need to manually transfer orders.

6. Work without downtime

  • Torgsoft Hybrid ensures uninterrupted checkout operation even without internet access. Sales are saved locally and, once the connection is restored, are automatically synchronized with the server. This is critical for service speed when the connection is unstable.
