03.05.2014 18:32Tell us about your business: what do you do, how did the idea come about, and how long have you been in the business?
I have been in business for 10 years. The idea came suddenly, as it usually happens. The hardest part was turning it into concrete actions and achieving real results. Now I am successfully selling office and school supplies in the city, region, and throughout Ukraine.
Have you been using the Torgsoft program for a long time? How did you come to the need for installing a store automation program, and why did you choose Torgsoft? Did you use any other accounting programs before?
We have been using the Torgsoft program since the first day of opening our stores. Previously, at one of our wholesale bases, we used the 1C program. When it came time to open a supermarket, I decided to install Torgsoft because I had encountered information that this system is safe, practical, and very convenient to manage. As it turned out, the information was true.
How does Torgsoft help you?
Torgsoft helps us directly in managing the business. It is a convenient program in all its aspects. It has become convenient for me to work in the office and even when I am at home on the couch, thanks to remote access to the database.
What is your pricing policy, and in which segment do you operate?
We have very affordable and flexible prices. We work with care for each client individually, from the child preparing for school to the demanding bank employee. We also deal with wholesale sales of goods both in our hometown Kirovograd, in the region, and throughout Ukraine via our website.
Who are your customers, and how do they find out about you? Do you work on attracting customers? What makes your store unique?
Since we have been working for quite a long time, we have many customers, and they are all regulars. New clients are gradually emerging from the districts. We do not specifically work on attracting customers because we focus more on improving ourselves and our service. As a result, people are satisfied with the quality of products, atmosphere, and positive energy, and they recommend us to their family and friends.
Our store is unique because the people who work in it treat their work with love. The people who come to us for purchases we consider our friends, so we are always happy to see them, and the products we bring are selected in a way that pleases every customer, just like ones we would enjoy using ourselves. The store's uniqueness also lies in its very flexible prices and personalized approach to each client. We have a loyalty program, and we constantly implement interesting promotions and offers, often rewarding customers with gifts.
Do you plan to open more retail locations or an online store in the future?
Of course, I would love to open new stores and supermarkets to bring in new, interesting products on a larger scale. I will be very glad if people enter the stationery supermarket and enjoy the experience.
What recommendations would you give to aspiring store owners?
Spend more time in the store at the beginning, communicate with customers, observe them – otherwise, you won’t understand how they want your store to look!
