How a sole proprietor can receive sickness benefits
11.10.2021 10:46If a sole proprietor on a single tax pays the unified social contribution for himself, he is entitled to sick leave in the same way as an employee.
How to get temporary disability benefits
In order to receive assistance from the SIF, an entrepreneur must:
- Depending on the insured event, the entrepreneur must apply for a sick leave from a doctor. If the sick leave is due to pregnancy and childbirth, the doctor will issue a sick leave certificate; if it is any disease, the doctor will open an e-sick leave certificate. The electronic sick leave certificate must appear on the Pension Fund's website with the status "Ready for payment", only then can you proceed to the next step.
- It is necessary to calculate the insurance period and calculate the amount of temporary disability benefits. The entrepreneur does this independently.
- In order to receive assistance from the SIF, an entrepreneur must have a bank account. An account can be opened in any bank in the UA format ******** 000002604 **********. If the sole proprietor has previously opened an account to receive quarantine assistance (UAH 8000), then you can indicate this account in the application.
- You must fill out the Application-Calculation and Annex 1 thereto. You do not need to submit empty Annexes. You must indicate the number of your social security account in the application.
- In order to receive financial assistance from the SFS, you must file a single taxpayer's declaration with the form type "Reporting" and the "For reference" mark. Along with the declaration, you must fill out and submit Appendix 1. Please note! If a sole proprietor submits such a declaration during the year, he or she is still obliged to file a single tax return on a general basis within the established timeframe.
- Now you can submit documents to the FSS. The package of documents consists of:
copies of payment documents for the last 12 months prior to the insured event, confirming the payment of the unified social contribution;
Instead of copies of payment documents, you can send a letter to the tax office through the taxpayer's electronic account with a request to prepare a certificate of payment of the unified social tax for 12 months.
- After receiving financial assistance for temporary disability due to illness from the SIF, you must report on the receipt of money within a month. To do this, you need to submit a Notice of Payment to the Insured Person to the FSC.
- The amount of sick pay received does not need to be shown in the single taxpayer's declaration.
