From now on, entrepreneurs can register their own business in just 20 minutes. All you need to do is fill out one application in the "Diia" service and get access to the services you need to start your own business.
On November 8, the Government decided to launch the "e-Entrepreneur" project on the "Diia" portal, which was announced by the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
What is an e-Entrepreneur?
One online portal contains all the necessary procedures, starting with the registration of an individual entrepreneur and ending with the opening of a bank account.
The "e-Entrepreneur" project combines 12 business services on one platform. In addition to the opportunity to start a new business, entrepreneurs have access to all the services they need to develop their business:
-
state registration of an individual entrepreneur,
-
registration of changes to the sole proprietorship,
-
notification of the use of a single account,
-
registration as a single tax payer or a VAT payer,
-
opening a bank account.
The service is available at any stage of business development. Not only new individual entrepreneurs can use it, but also entrepreneurs who already have their own business, including those who want to expand their activities.
For whom is the service available?
The new system has been launched for certain industries, such as beauty salons, cafes, and retail outlets. For example, if you've just opened a coffee shop, you can get all the necessary permits and submit a declaration through the Diia portal, without the need for photocopies, paperwork, and time spent visiting government agencies.
The e-Entrepreneur pilot project was launched in August 2021. The goal of the project was to simplify the conditions for starting and running a business through electronic services.
"e-Entrepreneur" also allows you to submit applications online instead of visiting institutions with envelopes.
The comprehensive "e-Entrepreneur" service was developed under the EU4DigitalUA project, funded by the European Union and implemented by the Estonian Academy of Electronic Governance.
