My Tax is a free mobile application created by the State Tax Service of Ukraine. It provides citizens with access to electronic tax and tax payment services. According to the tax authorities, the app will allow you to easily and quickly receive the necessary information from the State Tax Service, submit the necessary documents and information, and pay taxes.
List of features of the My Tax app
The "My data" section contains information about:
➢ registration address and actual place of residence of an individual,
➢ objects of taxation,
➢ TND - a tax notice-decision on the obligation to pay the amount of a monetary obligation,
➢ status of settlements with the budget.
1. Information on registration and residence
- Checking information about the registration address and actual place of residence
The application makes it easy to check whether an individual's registration address and actual place of residence coincide. Thus, the tax authorities will know whether the individual pays taxes on income received at the actual place of residence, and the taxpayer can quickly establish the relevance of his or her residence registration.
According to the Law of Ukraine on Declaration and Registration of Residence, Ukrainian citizens are required to declare or register their residence within 30 calendar days after arriving at a new place of residence.
2. Objects of taxation
- Obtaining information on objects subject to taxation.
Taxpayers will be able to independently transmit information about their property, income and other taxable items. Based on this data, the tax authorities will be able to correctly determine the amount of taxes to be paid by taxpayers.
Objects subject to taxation: real estate, vehicles, intellectual property (patents, trademarks), income from business, trade and labour activities, income from dividends, interest, etc.
3. Information on income
- Sending a request and receiving information on the amount of income paid.
Citizens will be able to send a request for information on the amount of income paid, which will help the tax authorities to verify the correctness of the calculation and payment of personal income taxes and determine the amount of taxes to prevent taxpayers from evading them.
The application will display information on the following income:
➢ Salary
➢ Dividends,
➢ Interest,
➢ Income from business activities,
➢ Income from the sale of property,
➢ Income from other sources.
4. Tax documents
In the Services section, taxpayers will be able to submit tax documents, such as a tax return on property and income (tax rebate). The State Tax Service will receive, process and store them.
- Submission of the Individual Taxpayer Account Card (form No. 1DR) (available in future updates).
A citizen of Ukraine will be able to submit an Individual Taxpayer Account Card via the application, in which they will provide information about themselves necessary for registration in the State Register of Individual Taxpayers.
- Having the credentials of an individual, the tax authorities will be able to conduct scheduled inspections of the taxpayer.
Submission of an application for amendments to the State Register of Individuals (form 5DR)
An individual will be able to submit an application to notify the tax authorities of changes to his or her personal data, which will allow the State Tax Service to have up-to-date information about taxpayers. This is also an important function to ensure timely and accurate tax calculation.
- Filing a tax return on property and income
In the declaration, taxpayers indicate their income, expenses and property, and this information is used by the tax authorities to determine the amount of taxes. The following are also subject to general declaration: wages, dividends, interest, income from business activities, income from the sale of property, and other income.
5. Information on liabilities and payments to the budget
- Obtaining information on the obligation to pay the amount of a monetary obligation (tax notice)
Citizens will also be able to transmit information about their monetary obligations. The Tax Code of Ukraine stipulates that taxpayers are obliged to pay the amount of a monetary obligation by a certain date.
The tax authorities receive such information from any source provided for by applicable law: tax returns, calculations of tax liabilities, taxpayers or other government authorities.
- Obtaining details on the status of settlements with the budget
In addition to the above, taxpayers may provide detailed information on their payments. Based on this information, the tax authority will determine whether the taxpayer has paid all taxes and duties to the budget. In case of non-payment of the amount of the monetary obligation, the tax service has the right to enforce the debt.
6. Convenience of paying taxes
- Paying taxes using payment systems that provide security and convenience
The application provides convenient ways to accept payments from taxpayers.
7. Search and verification of documents
In the "Notifications" section of the application, you can view:
➢ taxpayer receipts,
➢ information from the State Register of Individuals and Taxpayers on the amounts of income paid and taxes withheld,
➢ information from the State Register of Individuals and Taxpayers on the sources/amounts of accrued income, withheld and paid tax and military duty,
➢ letters of appeal from the supervisory authority.
In addition, users of the application will be able to quickly search for:
- a fiscal receipt to verify payment transactions,
- excise tax stamps to check the legality of goods.
8. Viewing information from registers
Individuals will be able to view and control information from the following registers through the application menu items:
- information from the Register of VAT payers,
- information from the Register of Insurers,
- information from the Register of Single Tax Payers.
Currently, the My Tax Service mobile application is being updated with new features to meet the needs of taxpayers. The tax authority is open to proposals for testing new options.
If everything works as expected, individuals will have a really convenient and fast tool for interacting with the tax authorities, and the process of transferring important data will be significantly simplified.
