Edit your business address after moving from a war zone

If you, as an entrepreneur, have moved from an active war zone to a safe location and plan to continue to operate, it is possible to change your location address. It is not necessary to do this, but if you decide to re-register, this information is for you.

What is a location business address?

When an entrepreneur submits an application for registration, he gives his registered address, which is the address where he can be contacted. Generally the residential address is stated, but it is also possible to state a different address, e.g. the actual place of residence. The law allows it, it is confirmed by court decisions (Decision of the First Appeal administrative court from 25.11.2020 on the case № 360/2469/20, from 28.10.2020 on the case № 200/1304/20-a).
For internally displaced persons, a relaxation was introduced, and they were allowed to register at the actual place of residence on the basis of the certificate of internally displaced person.
Before the war, it was possible to make changes to the registration documents at any Administrative Service Center or at the state registrar. But now not all agencies can carry out registration activities, so before you go to the registrar, check the list of offices in operation.
In addition to a personal visit to the registrar, you can make changes online using the service «Dija». This way, no one will check your residence registration.

How do I change my address?

First, you need to get a certificate of internally displaced person. This is given to everyone registered in a war zone. The certificate can be obtained by both an ordinary individual and an entrepreneur.
The certificate of internally displaced person allows not only to confirm the change of address, but also to receive financial assistance from the state.
The list of territories with hostilities is constantly changing, so you can see the current list in Order No. 75.
You can get the certificate of internally displaced person offline (by contacting the nearest Administrative Services Center) or online using the mobile application «Dija».
To get the certificate of internally displaced person online, you need to submit an application in the section Services 一 Get IDP status, indicating the current place of residence. Next, you need to confirm your location using geolocation. To do this, you need to be within a radius of up to 5 km from the place indicated in the application. You need to go through this verification only once.
After submitting the application, the certificate should appear in the application «Dija» within a few days. If the status of the application does not change for a long time or your application has disappeared, submit it again.
If you are unable to apply online, you can apply in person at village, town or city councils or at the Administrative Service Center.

Pay attention! If you change your residential address in the future, you will have to apply again for a change of location.

After receiving the certificate of internally displaced person, you have to apply for a change of address. You can do this using the «Dija» application (not mobile!). You need an electronic signature for this.
Go to your personal cabinet and in the section All services, select Making changes to the company. Click the «Apply» button and edit the location address. After changing the location address, you will be registered in another tax office, which means you will have to pay taxes and report to the new tax office.
Also, after changing your location address, check whether your contact information is complete, as the system will not let you go any further without this information.
If you are a single taxpayer, don't forget to tick the appropriate field, and then the system will generate an application-message for making changes to the Register of single taxpayers.
Next, you must once again specify a new address in the Place of Entrepreneur Registration field. And select the place of business operations.
After verifying the data, sign the application with an electronic signature and send it in.
There is a charge for location changes, so after forming the application you will see the window for payment of state fee. The fee for this service is 190 UAH.
You may pay it by card.
You can check whether there were changes in your registration data in the personal office of the taxpayer in the section «Taxpayer's account data».
