Software ECR and incorrect time zone on the computer: how to fix

Why it is important:
The State Tax Service now receives information about the time zone set on your computer. If the time zone is set incorrectly, it may cause issues with the accounting of ECR transactions.

This may be indicated by the following error:

Server error on ECR 012345678:
Error code: 11 InvalidQueryParameter
Command timeout exceeded. Command received at: 11/19/2024 3:25:09 PM

Continue payment?
[Yes] [No]

To avoid errors, check and set the correct time zone.

How to check the current time zone:

1. Click Start.

2. In the search box, type timedate.cpl and press Enter.
   This will open the Date and Time settings.

3. Check if the correct time zone is set:
   (UTC+02:00) Helsinki, Kyiv, Riga, Sofia, Tallinn, Vilnius.

How to change the time zone:

For users with standard rights:

1. In the Date and Time window, click Change time zone.

2. Select (UTC+02:00) Helsinki, Kyiv, Riga, Sofia, Tallinn, Vilnius from the list and click OK.

For servers or accounts with restricted rights:

1. Launch Command Prompt with administrator rights:

• Click Start, type cmd, right-click the search result, and select Run as administrator.

Run the command:

tzutil /s "FLE Standard Time"

2. Check the changes: rerun the timedate.cpl command and verify the time zone.

What to do if you cannot change the time zone:

• Contact the system administrator if you do not have access to change the settings.
