The story of 'Hell Daddy'

The owner of the HellDaddy brand, Oleksandr Horchakov, had a passion for spicy food since childhood. His first experiments with sauces took place while studying at a culinary school.

The first sauce, which Oleksandr perfected for a whole 6 years, "saw the light" in 2016. At that time, he created an Instagram page, brand, logo, and began preparing small batches for sale. Presenting his products at the Vinnytsia Vin Art Fest, Oleksandr realized that people liked it and, inspired by success, continued his business.

Unexpectedly, the sauces became a news item for Russian propaganda. A humorous inscription — "tastes great with fried Moskaly" — was taken as a serious threat. This drew attention to the young entrepreneur's products but also caused a wave of hate on social networks, where the brand's page was even blocked.

After some time, the owner managed to restore the page, but his anti-Russian position remained unchanged.

Oleksandr's culinary experience expanded significantly thanks to his participation in the TV project "MasterChef."

How are Hell Daddy sauces made?

Hell Daddy's spicy sauces get their unique flavor through a unique fermentation process similar to pickling. Here's how it happens:

  1. Grinding the peppers.

  2. Adding ingredients: salt and lactic acid bacteria cultures are added to the peppers.

  3. Fermentation: this mixture ferments for at least 40 days in large barrels with a capacity of 50 to 100 liters. During this time, the peppers and bacteria "get to know" each other and exchange flavors and aromas.

  4. Enrichment: after fermentation, vinegar and spices are added to the mixture.

  5. Finished product: the sauce is ready for consumption.
