Teacher's Day: what is bought for gifts and how to prepare the store?

Teacher's Day is a great opportunity to express gratitude and recognise teachers for their contribution to the educational development of students and pupils. In Ukraine, it is celebrated on the first Sunday of October. A week before the holiday, people start searching local shops and online stores to find interesting products for teachers, educators, and lecturers as gifts.
Therefore, entrepreneurs should already think about how to prepare their store assortment for Teacher's Day to increase sales during this period.

What to give a teacher?
Gifts for educational staff can be very diverse. They will mostly be chosen based on the teacher's age, gender, and preferences. But mostly people buy traditional gifts for teachers - bouquets of flowers, gift sets, sweets.
So that your customers don't have to think about how to congratulate the teacher on the holiday, make sure that your store has special products in advance:
Flower arrangements
Flowers are a universal and timeless way of expressing respect and attention. A flower arrangement in a basket or a potted plant is a great gift idea for a teacher, especially if the person is not very familiar with them.
It is possible that this year, most schools will abandon the usual congratulations to teachers, as they did on 1 September, and instead of flowers, parents will be asked to give practical gifts to teachers: stationery, school supplies for displaced children, and things for school.

Although parents and school administrators try to meet the needs of teachers and classrooms, in practice, there is not enough equipment. Posters, magnetic whiteboards, tablets, desk calendars, flowerpots or classroom decorations can also be great gifts for teachers.

These are relevant for those teachers who really have the inspiration and time to do their favourite things: draw, embroider, sew or knit. If you run an office supply store, for example, expand your range with hobby products on the eve of the holiday.
It's a good idea to sell greeting cards along with the gifts, where students can express their personal gratitude to the teacher. How do you draw customers' attention to holiday products?
The best way to sell more products for any holiday is to inform customers about them in advance. Put up promotional posters at the entrance, set up display cases with goods for gifts in the store, and decorate them with holiday symbols.
For an online store, schedule mass emails to customers to inform them about holiday gifts at special prices. Also, don't forget to place festive banners on your website.
One of the ways to increase sales during the holidays is to create themed bundles. They should include a locomotive product and non-selling products that need to be sold quickly. A gift certificate is a cash equivalent, so if your store sells them to you, you must keep track of them.
You can set up an additional option in the Torgsoft application mode → Marketing → Gift certificates. Each certificate is assigned a unique barcode, which can be easily tracked: the date of issue, the data of the certificate holder and the date of its sale, what goods were given with it. There are 3 types of certificates available in the programme:
✓ Certificate - Money: when paying with such a certificate, the amount of the certificate will be automatically deducted from the amount to be paid.
✓ Certificate - Discount: when using the certificate, a % discount will be provided for the goods for the amount of the certificate.
✓ Certificate - Goods: full accounting of gift certificates, their availability and distribution between the stores of the retail chain.
If the customer pays with a gift certificate, the information about this is displayed on the sales receipt, and it is no longer possible to return such goods to the store by exchanging them for money. The program records the purchase and use of the certificate, and a corresponding entry appears in the cash report.
