Why do you need to pack piece goods?

The mode of packing piece goods in the Torgsoft program is a tool for those who work with small goods. For example, a seller of building fittings has hundreds of small bolts, nuts, and screws. Selling them individually is not only inconvenient, but sometimes unprofitable. Such small goods can be packaged and packaged in the quantity that is most in demand.

How to pack piece goods?

1. Prefix the barcode of the packaged goods. In Settings → Parameters → Weight → Barcode prefix with quantity of goods, set an arbitrary value, for example, 25. The system will search and recognize packaged goods in the database by this barcode prefix.
2. Select a product. Open the menu item Commodity management → Packing of piece goods. You can easily find the desired product by barcode, article, name, by selecting the product from the warehouse status or the full list of products.
3. Quantity in a package. Specify how many pieces of an item are put in one package. For example, you can pack 10 pieces.
4. Print labels. Enter how many labels you need to print.

Types of businesses that commonly use piece goods packaging

The function of packing piece goods in the accounting program will be useful for various types of businesses, especially where you need to pack, count, or sell small or piece goods.

• Construction and hardware stores. Such stores often sell screws, nails, bolts, nuts, and other fasteners. Packaging allows you to sell these products in convenient sets.
• Hobby and handicraft stores. For the sale of beads, buttons, beads, and other small handicraft items, packaging is extremely convenient.
• Agricultural and garden stores. For packaging seeds, fertilizers, feed, and other similar products.
