Accounting for sizes in the store

Among the users of the Torgsoft accounting program are many owners of clothing, footwear, and lingerie stores. For entrepreneurs who sell dimensional goods, information about the number of sizes of product models in a store or retail chain is very important.
In Torgsoft, it is possible to keep track of size goods both for a single outlet and for the entire retail network.

Why do you need size accounting?

The size range accounting mode in the Torgsoft program is designed for detailed management and tracking of the availability of goods of different sizes. Size range accounting allows store owners, administrators, or salespeople to track how many units of each size are in stock, which sizes are in the highest demand, and plan purchases based on this data to optimize inventory and ensure effective assortment management.

Key functions for managing size ranges in merchandising

  1. Create a size range. In the Merchandising section, select Size range, create a new one by specifying the size names, for example, "36-41" or "S - XL".
  2. Receipt of goods. In the product view, indicate that the product is a size range. When posting, select the appropriate size range.
  3. Check the availability of sizes. The option "Availability of model sizes" will allow you to check which sizes are available in different warehouses.
  4. Analysis and management. The menu Analysis → Assortment Management Center allows you to analyze sales of sizes and the movement of goods between warehouses. The Assortment Management Center will show the movement of goods, the amount of goods that came to the warehouse, the amount of goods sold from the warehouse, the balance of goods at the beginning and end of the selected period. The advantage of this form is that you can immediately move goods between warehouses.
  5. Printing a size range on a label, for this there is a ready-made template in the Torgsoft program.
  6. Size accounting of goods. Accounting by size is conveniently controlled in the "Availability of goods in the retail network" mode, where you can clearly see the availability of product sizes in each store. Goods can be grouped by type or manufacturer of goods. The goods can be filtered by season, supplier, manufacturer, type of goods.
  7. Printing of goods balances for the selected accounting object - store or warehouse. It is also possible to export information about the size range to Excel.

Users who will benefit from the accounting of dimensional goods

  • Store owners and managers for accurate inventory management and procurement planning, taking into account the popularity of different sizes.
  • Store staff to quickly respond to customer requests for the availability of certain sizes in the store or at other points of sale.
  • Sales analysts to assess demand trends for different sizes and optimize assortment.

You can check the availability of goods in the retail network in the Torgsoft program and in the Torgsoft Mobile application, which is very convenient.

Examples of application

  • Inventory optimization. A shoe store finds that sizes 38 and 39 are the most popular. Using Torgsoft, the manager orders additional pairs of these sizes to meet the demand.
  • Promotions planning. A clothing store discovers that XL sizes have low sales. Using this data, the management launches a promotion for these sizes to increase sales.
  • Fast customer service. The salesperson quickly checks the availability of the size the customer is interested in another store in the chain and arranges for the delivery of the goods if it is not available locally.
