Visitor Accounting in Torgsoft is a convenient way to find out how many people enter your store, when the peak hours occur, and whether your advertising works. With this data, you can better plan staff work, understand why not all visitors make purchases, analyze, and increase business profitability.
Why does a store need visitor accounting?
The number of receipts shows how many purchases were made, but it doesn’t always give a complete picture. For example, many people may visit the store, but only a few buy, or the opposite — few clients but high sales. It is also difficult to evaluate if advertising, promotions, staff schedules, or workload distribution are effective enough during peak hours.
Visitor accounting helps visualize customer traffic and compare this data with sales (or, as marketers say, determine the conversion rate). This allows you to understand customer behavior, their activity patterns, and how to better organize staff work or product placement.
Conversion is usually defined as the ratio between the number of buyers and the number of visitors — those who entered (cold visitors) and those who purchased (warm buyers). Knowing this data helps evaluate store efficiency, determine cost-effectiveness, and make decisions that increase profit.

How does it work?
The electronic visitor accounting system is implemented using the “Visitor Accounting” option, GSMcounters service, and synchronization with counters such as TK-01/TK-04.

Install a counter, for example TK-01 or TK-04 Wi-Fi, at the store entrance.

Configure the counters and link them to a specific accounting center in Torgsoft → Marketing → Visitor Accounting.

Data is sent to the GSMcounters server and synchronized with Torgsoft.

View statistics in the visitor log: number of entries and exits by date and time, dynamics, and peak loads.

Analyze conversion and overall visitor statistics in graphs: in Torgsoft → Analysis → Sales Intensity Analysis.
How and why analyze visitor traffic charts?
In the “Sales Intensity Analysis” mode, you can compare visitor data with sold items, receipts, and total sales, analyzing by hour, day, week, month, year, or by weekdays in absolute or average values.
The charts allow you to clearly evaluate:
✅ dynamics of change,
✅ correlation between sales and visitor numbers,
✅ conversion — the relation between receipts and visitors: the closer the graphs, the higher the conversion,
✅ causes of traffic spikes or declines and their relation to store promotions.
Visitor counters: which one to choose?
TK-01 — requires a wired connection and power from the mains.
TK-01 Wi-Fi — works via Wi-Fi but still requires power since it has no built-in battery.
TK-04 Wi-Fi — currently the best visitor counter model: wireless and battery-powered. It works even during power outages. If the connection is lost, the sensor stores data for up to 6 months and uploads it automatically once the connection is restored.
What do you need for visitor accounting?
- Torgsoft Ultra or Terminal version.
- Additional option “Visitor Accounting” — purchased separately for each counter.
- Counter TK-01, TK-01 Wi-Fi, or TK-04 Wi-Fi
- Account on GSM Counters portal with a WebAPI plan, e.g. “User”.
