Review of the Asianwell AW-E7 wireless radio barcode scanner
In retail, products are entered into the database by their barcodes, which are also used for sales, price checks, and inventory control. Barcodes and QR codes appear on price tags, discount cards, and some documents. A barcode contains a lot of information — weight of packaged goods, price, country of origin, and more. To read barcodes from products, tags, or cards, special equipment such as a radio scanner is used.
The Asianwell AW-E7 radio scanner is a wireless laser barcode scanner that combines the functionality of a scanner and a data collection terminal. A regular scanner has limited memory and cannot store barcodes. A data collection terminal has more memory, can accumulate barcodes, and connects to a computer to transmit product data. The Asianwell AW-E7 is both a scanner and a DCT. It is compact yet powerful, has 4 MB of memory, and can store up to 100,000 1D barcodes. This scanner features a color display, a convenient keypad, and a 32-bit ARM processor. It connects to a computer via USB cable or a radio receiver.
Advantages:
-
Built-in laser reader that scans barcodes from a distance of up to 60 cm.
-
Works up to 300 meters away from the receiver.
-
Can scan and store barcodes in accumulation mode when out of wireless range.
-
Automatically saves scanned barcodes in case of accidental shutdown or battery drain.
-
Transfers collected barcodes to a computer and supports feedback. For example, you can upload an inventory file from the database directly to the scanner.
-
Equipped with a replaceable 2400 mAh battery.
This scanner model is used for product sales and inventory in supermarkets, stores, retail chains, warehouses, and logistics companies.
