How to connect to the server?

To work with the Torgsoft program, users who have a terminal version of the license need to connect to a remote computer - the server.

Usually, for convenience, shortcuts with connection settings are saved on the desktop, but sometimes users accidentally delete connection shortcuts or use CCleaner to clean the computer and all saved server connection settings.

What do I need to connect to the server?

You must have:

1. Server address and port (for example: 254.253.252.08:22331).
2. The Remote Desktop Connection program (the name depends on the language selected in Windows).
3. User's login and password to access the server.

This data is confidential. Do not pass them on to anyone. Keep this information so that no one else can see or use it.
We recommend saving logins and passwords in special programs like KeePass.

Connecting to the server and saving settings

You can save a shortcut to the server so that you don't have to search for and enter the server access data every time.

1. Open the Remote Desktop. You can find it by entering Remote Desktop in the search field of the Start menu or by going to Control Panel → System and Security → Remote Desktop.
2. Enter the IP address of the remote server in the Computer field. If the server has an open port for connection, add it to the IP address, separating them with a colon (for example, 254.253.252.08:22331. Your address will be different).
3. Click "Show parameters"
4. In the "Username" field, specify the user under which the connection to the server will be made. You can set up a connection to one user from several devices, but only one can connect at a time.
5. Next, click "Save as..." to create a shortcut for the connection. For merchants, it is convenient to save the shortcut to the desktop.
6. Click the "Connect" button.
7. If the connection is allowed and the server is available, you will be prompted to enter a password to log in to the remote server.
