Changing fonts in Torgsoft: tables, printing, customer display, mobile application

The font in Torgsoft is configured separately depending on where it is displayed: in interface tables, in printed templates (FastReport), on the Customer Screen, or in the mobile "Price Checker" mode.

When it is needed

  • In lists (products/clients/documents), the text is too small or inconvenient.
  • You need to change the font in a receipt, label, or price tag.
  • The information on the customer screen is difficult to read.
  • After working via RDP/server, the interface became small or "out of scale."

Symptoms

  • Small font in tables or difficulty reading rows.
  • In printing, the font is too small/large or replaced by another one.
  • On the customer screen, text is cut off or blurry.
  • In RDP, the entire program looks disproportionately small.

Causes

  • Tables: list appearance settings are often stored locally (for the workstation/user).
  • Printing: the FastReport template uses a font/size that is unsuitable or missing on another PC/server.
  • Customer screen / mobile: have separate settings from the interface.
  • RDP: Windows/DPI scaling or RDP parameters change the size of elements.

Solution

1. Change the font in tables (interface, lists)

  1. Open a form with a list (e.g., Inventory → Inventory Status / Sales).
  2. Open column settings: Ctrl + E.
  3. Select the column for which you need to change the appearance.
  4. Open column editing → Font.
  5. Select font parameters (type/size/style/color) → OK.
  6. If you need to apply it to the entire table — enable the option to apply font and color to all columns.
  7. Save settings.


2. Change the font in printed documents (receipts, labels, price tags) via FastReport

  1. Open Settings → Print Template Settings.
  2. Select a template (e.g., Receipt / Label) → Settings/Edit.
  3. In the editor, select the required text field.
  4. Change the font name and/or font size on the toolbar.
  5. Save the template (File → Save or Save As for a copy).

3. Change the font on the "Customer Screen"

  1. Open the Customer Screen form.
  2. Go to Settings → Font Settings.
  3. Set the required size/style for the product name, price, and total.

4. Mobile application ("Price Checker" mode)

  1. Open the Price Checker mode settings in the app.
  2. Enable the font size change option.
  3. Select a comfortable scale.

How to check the result

  • Tables: close and reopen the form — the font should change.
  • Printing: perform a print preview or a test print.
  • Customer screen: scan an item and check readability.
  • Mobile: check the result screen after scanning/searching.

Prevention

  • For printing, use fonts that are guaranteed to be installed on all PCs/servers (otherwise "squares" or font substitution may occur).
  • If the problem is "the whole program became small" after RDP — first check Windows/RDP scaling, and only then the fonts in Torgsoft.

Summary

  • If you need to change the font in program lists → column settings (Ctrl+E).
  • If you need to change the font in printing → edit the FastReport template.
  • If the font needs to be changed on the customer screen or in mobile → these are separate settings.

If "everything is small" in RDP → the cause is usually in Windows/RDP scaling, not in Torgsoft.
