Activation of license and additional options

Instructions for activating a commercial Torgsoft license, switching from the demo version, and enabling additional paid options via technical support.

When it is needed

  • You have purchased a license (Start, Ultra, Terminal) and are launching the program for the first time.
  • The 30-day demo period has expired.
  • You have reinstalled Windows or replaced PC hardware (re-activation is required).
  • You have purchased an additional option and it needs to be enabled.

Symptoms

  • The "License Activation" window appears upon login.
  • The message "Demo version has expired" is displayed.
  • An option is marked as inactive in the "Settings" menu.

Prerequisites

  • Torgsoft software is installed.
  • Internet connection is available (for exchanging codes via messenger).
  • The invoice for the license or option has been paid.

Solution 1: Activating the Main License (Software)

The process involves an exchange of codes between the user and technical support.

Step 1. Obtaining the Exchange Code

  1. Launch Torgsoft.
  2. In the login window or the main menu, click Help → Activation.
  3. Click the Back button.
  4. Locate the field with the long code (exchange code) and click Copy to Clipboard.

Step 2. Contacting Support

  1. Message the technical support chat (Telegram: @torgsoft_help or Viber).
  2. State: "License activation required."
  3. Provide order identification: Owner's Last Name or Invoice Number.
  4. Paste the copied exchange code.

Step 3. Entering the Activation Code

  1. Receive the activation code from the support specialist.
  2. Return to the activation window in the program.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Click Paste from Clipboard (the received code will be inserted).
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter the license owner's name (optional).
  7. Read the license agreement and check the "I agree" box.
  8. Click License (or "Activate License").
  9. Restart the program.

Solution 2: Activating an Additional Option

For additional options, the procedure is simplified: technical support generates the code, and no exchange code from the client is required.

  1. Obtain the option activation code from technical support (by providing the invoice number).
  2. Go to the menu Settings → List of Additional Options.
  3. Find the required option in the list.
  4. Click the Activate button (or paste the code into the option activation field).
  5. Restart the program.

Note: Any additional option can be activated for a free 30-day trial (use the "Activate Demo" button in the options list).


How to Verify the Result

  1. License: Menu Help → About. The "License" field should show the type (e.g., "Ultra") and the owner's name instead of "Demo version."
  2. Option: In the menu Settings → List of Additional Options, a green checkmark or "Active" status should appear next to the function.
  3. The window prompting to buy a license no longer appears when launching the program.

Prevention

  • License Retention. The license is bound to the PC's hardware. Replacing the hard drive or processor may cause the license to deactivate. This is a standard situation — contact support for a free re-activation.
  • Transfer of Rights. The license is registered to the owner. Transferring it to third parties is prohibited by the license agreement.
