-
The key has been revoked or blocked by the certification authority / bank.
-
The cashier or responsible person has changed.
-
The pECR does not sign receipts or does not open / close the shift.

-

-

-
Message «Certificate not found».
Why the pECR may not work after replacing the key
-
The QES certificate has expired.
-
The new key is not registered with the State Tax Service (Form 5-pECR).
-
In Torgsoft, the key has been updated only in the pECR, but not in the employee card.
-
The old shift remained open with an expired key.
How to correctly replace the QES for the pECR
Stage 1. Registering the new key with the State Tax Service
1. Obtain a new QES from a bank or certification authority.
2. Submit Form No. 5-pECR (J/F1391802) through:
-
The Taxpayer’s Electronic Cabinet, or
-
M.E.Doc / Sonata.
- Torgsoft
3. If the previous shift is not closed and the old key is already invalid — in Form 5-pECR for the new key, select the signature type “Senior cashier”.
4. Wait for Receipt No. 2 confirming successful registration.
Legally, you may work after Receipt No. 2, but in practice the State Tax Service servers may update access with a delay of up to several hours.
Stage 2. Preparing the key file
-
Create a permanent folder for keys, for example:
C:\TORGSOFT\PROGRAM\Keys\ -
Copy the key file there (.dat, .jks, .zs2).
-
Do not store keys on the Desktop or in «Downloads».
Stage 3. Updating the key in the pECR settings
-
Open Settings → Software ECR.
-
Select the required pECR → Edit.
-
In the Private key field, specify the new file.
-
Enter the key password.
-
Click Read / Check — the certificate information should be loaded.
-
Click Save.
Stage 4. Updating the key in the employee card (critically important if separate keys are used for each employee)
If you skip this step — receipts may continue to be signed with the old key.
-
Go to Settings → Employee.
-
Select cashier → Software ECR tab.
-
Replace the key file and password.
-
Save the changes.
What to do if the old shift remained open
Situation: the shift is open with the old key, which is already invalid.
The only correct option:
-
Register the new key through Form 5-pECR with the signature type “Senior cashier”.
-
Specify the new key in Torgsoft.
-
Run the Z-report (close the shift).
In complex cases (offline packets, validation errors), the closing is performed through technical support.
How to verify that the new QES works
-
Connection check pECR → Online status.
-
The shift opens without errors.
-
The receipt is successfully fiscalized by the State Tax Service.
How to avoid problems when replacing the key
-
Check the QES expiration date in advance (at least 14 days ahead).
-
Always close the shift before replacing keys.
-
Do not replace the key during an active shift unless necessary.
What is important to remember
First the State Tax Service (5-pECR) → then Torgsoft → separately pECR and employee.
Violating this order leads to blocking the cash desk operation.
