Fixing POINTADDR Error: Software ECR Address Mismatch

The error occurs when the address of the business unit transmitted from Torgsoft does not match character-for-character the address registered on the server of the State Tax Service of Ukraine (form 20-OPP/1-PRRO).

This instruction involves changing or verifying the registration data of the software ECR and the business unit, so all actions should be performed carefully. If you manually enter an incorrect address or update the data only on one side — in Torgsoft or in the STS registers — the POINTADDR error will remain, and fiscalization and shift opening will be blocked. Before making changes, make sure that you understand exactly where the correct address is stored, and use only exact copying without manual editing. If in doubt, it is better not to change the data at random and to contact technical support.

When the error occurs 

How to understand that the outlet address does not match

  • Message: Incorrect value of XML element '/ZREP/ZREPHEAD/POINTADDR'

  • Additional text from the STS:
    «The specified address "A" differs from the address according to the registration data "B"»

  • Sales and shift opening are blocked

Why the STS rejects the business unit address

  1. The addresses are not identical
    Even the slightest difference leads to an error:

  • an extra or missing space;
  • different letter case;

  • abbreviations (St. instead of Street);

  • differences in the postal code or locality name.

  1. Outdated software version
    Older versions of Torgsoft may generate XML with the address in an incorrect format.

Solution: what to do

There are two solutions: change the address in the tax office or change the address in Torgsoft (depending on where the correct one is).

Option 1. Change the address in the tax office

  1. Open the Taxpayer's Electronic Cabinet.

  2. Go to the “Reporting” section, create and submit updated 20-OPP/1-PRRO forms (for changes).

  3. Copy the business unit address in full, without changes, from the program Settings → Software ECR - Edit on the software ECR where the problem occurred. 

Important: do not enter the address manually — only copy it from the program.

Option 2. Update the address in Torgsoft

  1. Open: Settings → Software ECR - Edit on the software ECR where the problem occurred. 

  2. Click the “Select business unit” button (manual changing of software ECR data is prohibited in Torgsoft, only pulling it from the register) and select your software ECR by fiscal number with the updated address.

  3. Save the changes and restart the program.

Nuances that require additional attention

1. If the software ECR was working offline

If the receipt was created in an offline session:

  1. Delete the problematic offline session document (Settings → Software ECR - Software ECR Analytics).

  2. Generate the receipt again after correcting the address through Sale and Payment Cancellation for it.

2. Update the program (if the error has not disappeared)

  1. Open Help → Download update package.

  2. Install the latest version of Torgsoft
    (not lower than 2022.0.52).

How to check that the address has been corrected

  • The shift opens without an XML error.

  • The receipt is fiscalized successfully.

  • Status software ECR — Online.

How to avoid a repeated error

  • Always copy the address from the STS cabinet or the program when making changes to the software ECR via 1-PRRO (for changes).

  • After street renaming or an address change, immediately update the data in Torgsoft.

  • Install program updates regularly.

Conclusion

If the address in Torgsoft is not an exact character-by-character representation of the address from 20-OPP/1-PRRO — fiscalization will be blocked.
