"Signer certificate revoked" error
The error «The signer’s certificate has been revoked» (often accompanied by the statuses EnCrUnspecified, EnCrSuperseded or Revoked) means that your electronic signature (QES) has expired, or it has been cancelled or revoked by the certification authority.
Replacing the QES for pECR affects the ability to open shifts, sign receipts and work with the State Tax Service, so it should be done carefully. If you add a new key to Torgsoft before it is registered with the State Tax Service, or replace it not in all required places, the cash register may completely stop working. Before taking action, make sure you understand the sequence: new QES, registration with the State Tax Service, waiting for the registers to update, then updating it in Torgsoft. If you have doubts, it is better to perform the procedure together with technical support.
How to replace the key and restore pECR operation
-
Obtain a new electronic key (QES) from your certification authority (for example, PrivatBank, the Vchasno system, etc.).
-
Register the new key with the tax authority. Before adding the key to the program, it must be registered in the Taxpayer Electronic Cabinet. To do this, you need to submit Form 5-pECR (to register the cashier with the new key identifier). If you changed the Sole Proprietorship or are registering a new cash register, Form 1-pECR may also be required.
-
Wait for processing. After submitting the application, wait for the second receipt from the State Tax Service confirming successful registration.
Please note: sometimes updating the tax authority registers takes some time (about 1-1.5 hours), so the new key may not start working in the program immediately.
4. Replace the key in Torgsoft:
- Open the program, go to the pECR settings («Settings» — «Software ECR») and click «Select private key».
- Specify the path to your new key, enter the password and click «Read».
Important: if the key was linked to a specific employee (cashier), you also need to open the employee directory,
open this seller’s card, reselect the path to the new key and read it directly there.
How to check the key registration status in the State Tax Service cabinet?
To check the registration status of the electronic key (EDS/QES) for the software ECR, you need to log in to the personal electronic taxpayer cabinet of the Sole Proprietorship on the State Tax Service website.
Here is what you need to pay attention to during the check:
1. Checking submitted applications
In the cabinet, find the section with submitted reports and check the status of your applications. For the key to work correctly, the following forms must be successfully processed:
-
Form 5-pECR — directly for registering the cashier’s key.
-
Form 1-pECR — for registering the software ECR itself for the cash register.
-
Form 20-OPP — for registering the business unit (store/point of sale). If you submitted only the cashier application (5-pECR), but forgot to register the business unit itself or the pECR (1-pECR), the key will not work and the system will show the error «No available business units».
2. Checking the key identifier
If the 5-pECR application has a rejected status or the key still does not want to be read in the program after the application has been accepted, make sure that you did not make a mistake in the key identifier. A mismatch in the subject’s key identifier is one of the most common reasons for rejection. If such an error is found, you will have to create a new (or duplicate) 5-pECR application with the correct identifier and submit it again.
3. Delay in updating State Tax Service registers
It is worth considering an important nuance: the presence of a receipt confirming successful processing of the 5-pECR application does not mean that the key will instantly appear in the State Tax Service registers. If the application has just been accepted, but Torgsoft shows the error «No available business units» when reading the key, do not rush to submit it again. You simply need to wait (usually more than an hour) until the tax authority databases are updated, and only after that add the key to the program.
