In this video, we show how to install and configure Torgsoft Hybrid — an option for the Torgsoft Terminal License that helps a store continue sales even when the Internet is down or there is temporarily no connection to the remote server.
Torgsoft Hybrid is useful for entrepreneurs who work with a remote database: retail chains, stores in regions with unstable Internet, market traders, and checkout points where sales downtime due to a technical network failure means lost revenue.
In the video, we review the entire preparation process:
- checking the program version,
- activating the option,
- installing Torgsoft Hybrid on a local computer,
- restarting the Torgsoft Service,
- checking the IP address,
- checking port availability,
- opening port 6001 on the server.
We also show how to grant users access to Torgsoft Hybrid, complete the first connection, find out a user’s login and password, configure work on the «Sale» form, and identify the customer during a sale.
A separate part explains how to connect retail equipment: a bank terminal, electronic scales, and other devices used at the checkout. The examples show an online sale, the sale of weighed goods, and data synchronization with the server.
After Torgsoft Hybrid is configured, the checkout can work locally when there is no connection, store receipts on the seller’s computer, and transfer them to the server after the Internet connection is restored. This helps the entrepreneur avoid stopping sales, keep control over operations, and reduce the risk of manual accounting during connection failures.
