Why and how to track visitors in a store?

Visitor tracking in a store is done to understand how many people entered your store and how many actually made a purchase. This helps to: 

• Evaluate the effectiveness of your product range and staff performance. If the conversion rate is high, it means the assortment is chosen correctly, prices are set well, and the staff is doing a good job. 

• Determine peak hours and better organize store operations — properly allocate sales staff working hours, number of open checkouts, set breaks and days off, and choose the most convenient time for delivery and unloading of goods so it doesn’t interfere with customers.

• Analyze whether the seasonal products were chosen correctly by taking into account changes in customer numbers in your store during different periods of the year.

• Draw conclusions about the effectiveness of promotions and sales based on the number of actual purchases compared to the number of customers during discount periods.
