Restart the server

The first thing to do is to restart the server. If your computer is always on, the operating system is constantly processing and caching information, and processes load memory and CPU. Therefore, rebooting usually significantly speeds up the work of all programs. We recommend setting up an automatic task in the operating system to reboot the server daily.

Computer specifications

If you bought a server 5 years ago, you can assume that the hardware configuration is outdated, while the requirements of programs are constantly growing.
They significantly affect the speed of the computer:

• a new SSD disk,
• the amount of RAM - the more, the faster,
• the generation of the processor.

Make sure that the server configuration meets the requirements of Torgsoft.

Remove unnecessary programs

A computer for working with Torgsoft should remain a computer for working. Third-party software can consume most of the resources. Uninstall all unnecessary programs from your computer: games, 48 antiviruses that were installed automatically with other software, torrent trackers, programs that are not used.

Closed periods in Torgsoft

In the menu Analysis → Period, close the month after it is over. This way, when calculating warehouse metrics, Torgsoft will not refer to previous periods once again.

Deleting statistics for closed periods

If you do not need the trading results for the entire 10 years, you can delete the previous periods. This will not affect the current state of the warehouse, mutual settlements, financial indicators, but will significantly speed up the database. This is especially true for stores with a wide range of products and a large number of sales, such as supermarkets.

Updating the program

In each new version, we make optimizations - we remove unnecessary things, hide unnecessary things, speed up the work with the database. If you have an old version of Torgsoft, update the program to the current one.
