Ako nakonfigurovať Torgsoft v lokálnej sieti
How to combine the work of several cash registers in a store?
If you need to combine several workstations, you will need a license for Torgsoft-Start or Torgsoft-Ultra for each workstation. All computers will work with a common Torgsoft database within a local network, within the same room.
The Torgsoft Terminal license can also be configured to work on a local network. However, the peculiarity of the Torgsoft-Terminal license is to work via the Internet with one database, from anywhere in the world. In this case, all computers are connected to the server via a remote desktop. You can rent a server from us or set up a terminal server on your own computer.
If your current Torgsoft license does not meet your needs, you can change the license type.
In this guide, we will show you step by step how to set up the Torgsoft program on your local network. The setup process is shown for the Windows 10 Pro operating system.
Please note that during the process of setting up Torgsoft for work on a local network, at certain steps the system may request additional permissions for the program, etc. They are necessary for the software to work correctly on a local network. Keep in mind that some installation steps cannot be performed without agreeing to the permissions. Therefore, when a program asks for permission, we recommend that you carefully read what it is for.
Configuration Manager Setup
Let's start by setting up the configuration manager: to do this, open the Microsoft SQL Server folder ("Server Version") in the Start menu and launch SQL Configuration Server Manager.

If you don't know where SQL Configuration Server Manager is located on your computer, try searching for 'SQLServerManager' in the folders:
-
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\
-
C:\Windows\System32\
-
C:\Program Data\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Microsoft SQL Server 2014\Configuration Tools\
SQL Server Services: setting up services
Go to the 'SQL Server Services' section and check if the 'SQL Server Browser' service is running.

The 'Start Mode' column should read 'Automatic'. If it is not, right-click, go to Service properties → 'Service' → 'Start Mode'. In the drop-down list, select 'Automatic' and confirm the changes by clicking 'OK'.
The status of the service is displayed in the 'State' column, where we should see the 'Running' status. If the service is not active, right-click and select 'Start'.

SQL Server Network Configuration: setting up the network configuration
In the 'SQL Server Network Configuration' section, select 'Protocols for [SQL Server instance name]'. Next, in the 'SQL Native Client Configuration' section, select 'Client Protocols'. If any of the sections is empty, just skip it.

In the Status column, all protocols must be enabled. If there are disabled protocols, you can enable them in the drop-down list by pressing the PCM.

After setting up, restart the SQL Server service.
Go to 'SQL Server Network Configuration' → select 'Protocols for [SQL Server instance name]' → open the 'TCP/IP' properties → go to the 'IP Addresses' tab. In the 'IPAII' section, record the number of 'TCP Dynamic Ports' — we will need it in the next step of the instructions.

Windows Firewall Configuration
In the server's firewall, you need to configure access to ports 1433, 1434, 6001, and TCP Dynamic Ports. To do this, go to Windows Settings → Network and Internet → Status → Windows Firewall → Advanced settings.

Creating rules for SQL server and Torgsoft program
In the Inbound Rules section, create a rule for inbound connections by clicking New Rule. You need to create two such rules, for the TCP and UDP protocols.
-
Select 'Port', then 'Next'.
-
Select the protocol — TCP or UDP.
-
Specify the ports 1433, 1434, 6001, and the TCP Dynamic Ports port recorded during the SQL Server Network Configuration setup.
-
Click 'Next' twice without making any changes to the window settings.
-
Give the rule a name that matches the parameters.
-
Finish creating the rule → 'Finish'.

When we're done, we should have two rules created, as shown in the video.
If you encounter problems connecting to the Torgsoft directory in the next section, you will need to add two more rules to the server firewall:
-
set ports 137 and 138 for the UDP protocol
-
for TCP — ports 139 and 445.
Setting up sharing of a TORGSOFT folder
Access to the folder for Windows users
We provide all Windows users with full access to the Torgsoft folder.
-
In the context menu of the Torgsoft folder, open the properties.
-
Go to the Security tab.
-
Change...
-
Dodati...
-
In addition...
-
Find.
-
In the search results, select "Everyone" or "All".
-
Click OK twice.
-
Select the Everyone user group and give them full access.

Please note that anyone connected to your server will be able to delete and edit the contents of the folder. If you want to restrict access on Windows, you can find relevant articles on setting up access on the Internet.
Share a folder on a local network
For computers in the local network, you need to open a shared access to the Torgsoft folder. This will allow other devices to see this folder on the local network.

In the window that opens, you should find the 'Everyone' user group. If it's not there, add it by searching for it and setting the permission level to Read/Write.

In the pop-up window that appears, select 'No, make the network to which the computer is connected a private network'. You will then get the network path, which you can view in the folder properties.

In this window, you should also write down the name of your computer, which will be needed to add Windows credentials. For example, in our case, this name is "Desktop-lbhklin". In your case, the name of your computer will be different.
Creating a Windows user
In order for other computers to interact with the server, you need to create a user account on it. This can be done by opening Computer Management. To do this, right-click on the 'Start' icon.

Go to the 'Local users and groups' → 'Users' subgroup. Right-click on an empty space in the window and select the 'Create a new user' option."

-
Enter 'User name' and 'Full name'.
-
In the 'Description' field, specify: 'User for sharing Torgsoft'.
-
Enter the desired password.
-
Check the boxes according to the image.
-
Click 'Create'.
-
Then close the window by clicking 'Close'.

Connecting computers to the server and the Torgsoft program
Windows credentials
On the computers that will connect to the server, add the credentials of the user we created in the previous step. This way, these computers will have the credentials to connect to the server.
-
Open Windows search and type 'Control Panel'.
-
See also: 'Small icons'.
-
In the list, open the item: 'Credentials Manager'.
-
Select 'Windows credentials'.
-
Click 'Add Windows credentials'.
-
After the two slashes, type the name of the host computer, which you can see in the network path or in its system properties.
-
Add the details of the previously created user, his or her name and password.

Connecting to the TORGSOFT folder
On each computer, open Explorer and paste the network path that we got after opening the shared Torgsoft folder

Create shortcuts for program users
-
On each computer that will connect to the server, go to the 'PROGRAM' folder.
-
In the search, find the 'torgsoft' application and launch it.
-
Log in to the program using the owner's account, by default it is the user 'sa' with the password '2009'.
-
After logging into the program, open Settings > Users.
-
Create shortcuts for logging into the program under the users you need.
For each employee, you can create a user in the Torgsoft program and add a shortcut to the program to their computer desktop.
Resolving a licensing error
If you see an error when entering the program:

To solve this problem, go to the 'PROGRAM' directory and find the file 'TorgsoftLicenseService.exe'.
Copy this file. On the computer where the error occurred, create a new directory named 'Torgsoft'. Paste the copied file into this directory. After that, you can return to the previous step and create shortcuts to enter the program.

Setting up a catalog to save photos
For all users to interact with photos in the program, you need to specify the network path to the photo folder in the program settings. You can do this by opening the 'Photo' directory and copying its network path.

Go to Settings → Options → Product → Photos. Open the folder browse and paste the copied path to the photo directory. Click OK, then click Write.

This is the last necessary setting — the Torgsoft program is ready to work on the local network.
