How to organize directories for paint and coatings products
Raw materials, packaging, the base product and each package size are created as separate items. This structure links material purchasing, production, finished goods stock and sales.
Raw materials and packaging
Pigments, resins, solvents, additives, buckets, lids and labels are recorded with their own units of measure, purchase prices and stock balances.
Base product
Paint without packaging can be recorded as a semi-finished product with its own technological card and list of materials.
Packaged products
Paint in 0.8 kg, 2.5 kg, 25 kg and 50 kg packaging is created as a separate finished item. Each item has its own technological card.
Selling prices
Retail and wholesale prices, markups and rounding rules are maintained for finished goods. Prices can be changed for a selected product group.
A two-level scheme without repeating the entire recipe
The technological card of the base paint contains raw materials. The technological card of the packaged item contains the required quantity of the semi-finished product and the specific packaging. If the finished product contains a semi-finished product, Torgsoft takes into account the materials from its technological card and automatically creates a linked production act.
Production sequence
For each package size the finished product composition specifies the quantity of base paint and one unit of the relevant packaging.
The technological card defines materials for one accounting unit of the product, while the batch quantity is specified when creating the production act. A recipe for 1000 kg can be converted into norms per 1 kg, and the required number of kilograms can be produced in a batch.

Receive raw materials and packaging
The goods receipt records the supplier, quantity and actual purchase price of each batch.
Create a production act
The act is created from a ready technological card. The user specifies the quantity of products in the batch and, if needed, adjusts materials and operations.
Check material availability
Before creating the act, the program checks whether raw materials are available. If there are not enough materials, the production act is not created.
Release products
During release, Torgsoft writes off the materials used, creates linked stock documents and records the finished goods.
Get the actual cost
The program calculates the cost of the batch and product unit from the cost of materials used and operations performed.
How a new raw material price becomes the finished product price
The new purchase price is recorded in the next raw material receipt. After products are manufactured from this raw material, Torgsoft calculates the actual cost of the produced batch. Then selling prices are set for the required goods or product groups.
New batch of raw materials
The receipt document specifies the new purchase price of the component.
Production act for finished goods
An act for the required product and package size is created from the technological card.
Selling price calculation
Goods can be selected by type, manufacturer, supplier or other available filters, and the retail or wholesale markup can be changed.
Price list for sales
In the customer price list, prices can be calculated as a markup on cost, rounding can be set and a file can be generated.

Is it necessary to repeat all components for each package size
The base paint can be recorded as a semi-finished product with a separate technological card. In the packaged item card, it is enough to specify the required quantity of the semi-finished product and the relevant packaging.
How to account for different packaging for one product
Each package size is created as a separate finished item. Its technological card specifies its own packaging, so its cost is included in the cost of that specific item.
Can a material be replaced in a specific batch
An analogue can be defined for a material in the technological card. When working with the production act, the user selects an allowed replacement from the available goods.
How to account for production waste
A material can be added to the technological card with a waste quantity. Depending on the setting, Torgsoft creates a write-off or receipt of waste during production.
How to set different prices for package sizes
Because package sizes are separate goods, different retail and wholesale prices, markups and rounding rules can be set for them.

In the «Customer price list» mode, you can select a customer, calculate prices as a markup on cost or as a discount from the selling price, set rounding and export the finished document.
