Torgsoft-Hybrid — is an additional option for the Terminal license of Torgsoft that allows you to continue sales at the checkout when there is no connection to the remote server.
In the Terminal license, the database is located on a remote server. Without internet, a checkout without Torgsoft-Hybrid does not have access to the database. With the option connected, the checkout switches to offline mode: it processes sales, prints receipts, and stores operations locally. After the connection is restored, the data is synchronized with the server automatically.
The option is needed for chains with remote outlets, market traders, and stores in regions with unstable internet connection. For Start and Ultra licenses, where the database is local, the option is not needed. The option is purchased for each client connection.
The checkout works without connection to the server
When the connection to the remote server disappears, Torgsoft-Hybrid switches the checkout to offline mode — sales continue as long as the checkout computer and equipment have power. When the internet returns, the accumulated sales are transferred to the server.

What is Torgsoft-Hybrid
Torgsoft-Hybrid — is a separate application on the seller’s computer (Windows OS) that complements the client connection in the Terminal license. In normal mode, the checkout works online with the database on the remote server. As soon as the connection disappears, the program continues working locally: it processes sales, prints receipts, and accumulates operations. When the internet returns, the accumulated receipts are transferred to the main Torgsoft server without cashier involvement.

Who this option is for
Chains with remote outlets
Stores work with a single database on the server. If one of the outlets loses internet, sales there do not stop.
Stores in regions with unstable internet
Weak or intermittent connection does not block the checkout: sales continue locally, and the data reaches the server later.
Outlets working during blackouts
A checkout on backup power continues accepting payments and printing receipts while there is no electricity or internet.
Market and mobile trade
Outlets without stable wired internet, where connection depends on the mobile network.
Who does not need it. Owners of Torgsoft-Ultra and Torgsoft-Start licenses: their database is stored locally on the computer itself, so the checkout does not depend on the internet and the option does not provide additional benefit.

- the outlet has internet or power interruptions;
- the outlet is remote from the office and depends on mobile connection;
- stopping sales even for an hour means direct revenue losses.

What it looks like before and after
Before
The internet disappears — the checkout with a remote database does not open. The seller writes sales in a notebook, some receipts are not issued, and after the connection is restored everything has to be reconciled manually with the risk of errors.
After
The checkout automatically switches offline and continues working. Receipts are accumulated in a queue, and as soon as the internet appears, the data reaches the server on its own. The cashier is not even distracted by synchronization.
How it works: 4 steps
Terminal on the server. To work with Hybrid, you need a Torgsoft-Terminal license with a database on a remote server.
Installation on the checkout. Activate and install Torgsoft-Hybrid on the seller’s computer with Windows OS.
Offline work. When the connection to the server disappears, the program continues working locally: it processes sales and prints receipts.
Synchronization. Information about sales is accumulated in packages and transferred to the server after the connection is restored.
Important. Before the first offline sale, at least one completed sale in online mode is required. The application server version and the Hybrid version on the checkout must match, so after updating the main program, update Hybrid as well.

Scenarios by niche
A store chain during blackouts
Electricity is available for several hours a day, and checkouts work from backup power. Hybrid allows sales to continue while the checkout computer has power. For software RRO, offline session limits apply, so after the connection is restored the data must be synchronized.
A grocery store with weak internet
Mobile connection is slow, and through remote access the checkout freezes with every scan. Enabled forced offline speeds up work, and electronic scales transfer the product weight to the receipt even without internet.
An outlet with self-checkout
Customers scan and pay for goods independently by card with software RRO receipt printing. When attempting to buy excisable goods, the checkout is blocked and requires age confirmation from an employee.
Example
The scenario is illustrative. A chain with several outlets works on the Terminal license: the database is on a remote server, and the checkouts are connected through client connections. In winter, at one of the outlets electricity and internet disappear several times a day.
After connecting Torgsoft-Hybrid to the checkout computer, sales no longer stop because of the connection: when the internet disappears, the program switches offline, the seller continues issuing receipts, payments are accepted in cash or by card if the bank terminal is working. When the internet returns, the accumulated receipt packages are transferred to the server, and the central accounting of the chain is reconciled without manual transfer.
Which options and equipment it works with
For the equipment to work directly in Hybrid, you need to activate the corresponding options marked «for the Hybrid option» (available from version 1.10.7). Unlike perpetual licenses, these options are provided as a subscription with payment for 1 year.

At one retail outlet different software RROs with different fiscal numbers must be used for the main Torgsoft program and for Torgsoft-Hybrid.

Price and connection terms
- License. Works only with Torgsoft-Terminal in remote server mode. Available from Torgsoft® version 9.3.2 (DB 466) and later.
- Connection. The option is purchased for each client connection that works with the database on the server.
- Demo version. Free for 30 days. If you have already activated the free test before, repeated activation for 30 days is not available.
How to connect
- In the program, open «Settings → List of additional options», select «Torgsoft-Hybrid» and click «Activate for 30 days».
- Install Torgsoft-Hybrid on the checkout computer with Windows (on any local disk except the system disk «C») and complete one test sale online.
- To pay, purchase the option for the required number of client connections — the previous settings are saved.
Frequently asked questions
Which license does Torgsoft-Hybrid work with?
Only with the Torgsoft-Terminal license, where the database is located on a remote server. The option is not used with local Start and Ultra licenses.
What happens if the internet disappears during a sale?
The program will instantly switch to offline mode: the text «Offline mode: Activated» will appear at the bottom of the work form. Scanning and sales continue without interruption, and receipts are queued and then transferred to the server automatically after the connection is restored.
Can a product return be made in offline mode?
No. A return document is created only when Hybrid is connected to the server and works online.
Do promotions and sales to VIP customers work without internet?
In offline mode, the functionality is intentionally simplified: complex marketing promotions and work with VIP customers (including sales on credit) are unavailable.
How long can software RRO in Hybrid work without internet?
One continuous software RRO offline session cannot exceed 36 hours, and the total per month is 168 hours. When connection appears, the program itself transfers receipts to the tax service and returns the software RRO online.
Are separate equipment options needed for Hybrid?
Yes. To use a bank terminal, scales, fiscal registrar, and software RRO directly in Hybrid, you need to activate the corresponding options marked «for the Hybrid option». They are provided as a subscription with payment for 1 year.
Why does Hybrid not start after updating the main program?
Most often, the main program and application server were updated, but Hybrid on the checkout was not. The application server version and the Hybrid version must match, so update Hybrid to the current version.
Why does the «Too many requests» error occur?
It appears when several requests have been sent to the server simultaneously or the previous action has not finished. It is enough to wait until the current operation is completed.
Where should Hybrid be installed on the checkout computer?
On any local disk except the system disk «C». This helps avoid problems with Windows access rights to the local database and settings.
Are sales through Hybrid included in salary calculation?
No. Sales made in Torgsoft-Hybrid are not included in the sales plan in the «Salary calculation» module.
