It is needed when you sell both retail and wholesale from one warehouse. As a result, the program switches the price at the checkout by itself, and the manager does not have to calculate discounts manually.
The option suits stores where one product is sold both individually and in batches: building materials, stationery, groceries, children's clothing, accessories, tools. The pain point of such stores is that the seller gets confused with prices, forgets to give a wholesale discount or, conversely, sells a batch at the retail price. Correcting this manually takes time, and an error in every receipt costs money.
With the option, you set the rules once: from what quantity small, medium and large wholesale applies and what price they have. Then, during a sale, the program itself determines the required price by the quantity threshold, maintains unified wholesale prices for the entire network and transfers them to the online store. You get predictable markup and sales without manual recalculation.

What wholesale trade and wholesale pricing policy are
Wholesale trade — is the sale of goods in large batches for further resale or use in production. The price here depends on quantity: the more you buy — the less you pay per unit. So that a store can keep several prices for one product and automatically apply them by quantity, Torgsoft has the Wholesale Pricing Policy option.
Basic concepts
Transition threshold
The quantity from which another price turns on. For example, from 5 pieces — small wholesale, from 20 — large wholesale.
Wholesale price
The price per unit within the threshold. It is formed as a discount from the retail price or a markup from the cost price.
Cost price
The purchase cost of the product, from which the wholesale markup can be calculated.
Wholesale price list
A form with all wholesale prices of the product. It is calculated automatically according to the policy.
Wholesale levels
Several price steps by volume: small, medium and large wholesale. Each turns on from its own quantity threshold.
Accounting center
A separate outlet or warehouse of the network. Wholesale prices apply to the entire network, but the policy can be disabled for a center.

Who does not need it. If you sell only retail and the unit price does not depend on quantity, the option will not bring value. For a one-time fixed discount, regular Torgsoft discounts are enough without the wholesale pricing policy.

What it looks like before and after
Before
The seller keeps in mind or in a separate file who gets what discount and from what quantity. On large orders, they calculate manually, forget wholesale or sell the product cheaper than needed. Prices at network outlets diverge.
After
The rules are set once. During a sale, Torgsoft itself sees the quantity and inserts the required price. Wholesale prices are unified for the entire network, and both the price and transition conditions go to the online store.
How it works: 5 steps
Enable the option. In the menu Settings → Parameters → Accounting → Transition from retail prices to wholesale prices depending on quantity, select «Use wholesale pricing policy».
Set thresholds for product groups. For each category, specify the quantity and the price formation method — markup from the cost price or discount from the retail price.
Generate wholesale prices. For previously received goods, run the wholesale price calculation — the program will calculate them according to your conditions.
If necessary, configure individual products. In «Stock status», open the product card, click «Wholesale prices» — in the «Wholesale price list» form, prices will be calculated automatically; they can be changed or deleted.
Sell. During a sale at the checkout or when issuing an invoice, Torgsoft switches the price itself when the quantity reaches the threshold.
Important. Wholesale prices apply to the entire retail network: even if the retail price for a product differs between accounting centers, the wholesale price will be unified. The policy can be disabled for a separate accounting center in its settings.

A cafe buys products by boxes. You set thresholds: from 5 boxes — small-wholesale price, from 20 — large-wholesale price. The program itself inserts the correct price at the checkout depending on order volume.
Children's clothing wholesale
Resellers buy size runs. You set thresholds by the quantity in the run and transfer wholesale prices to the online store so the customer sees them online.
Example
The scenario is illustrative. A stationery store sells both retail to schoolchildren and by boxes to offices. Previously, the manager kept a separate file with discounts: on large orders, they calculated manually, sometimes forgot wholesale, sometimes gave an excessive discount.
After connecting the option, the owner set thresholds: from 5 packs — a 15% discount, from 10 — 30%, from 20 — 40%. Now, during a sale, the price switches by itself according to quantity, and wholesale prices are transferred to the online store, so the online order is already processed by volume.
