State service for checking receipts by code

Back in 2019, the government launched a pilot project for a service where paperless receipts can be verified using only their code.
The Chek program was developed to significantly simplify data exchange between citizens, entrepreneurs, and institutions that provide administrative services.
Let's explore how to verify a payment number using the state service and how it can be useful for Sole Proprietorships.
The main purpose of the Chek service
The state service replaces printed paper receipts that, for example, confirm the payment for services from administrative service centers (CNAP), the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers, and so on. Previously, a government organization required a paper receipt with a wet stamp or authorized signature as proof of payment. Now, you can obtain a statement and verify whether the payment was made or not just by entering a code.
Today, more than 20 financial institutions are connected to it. Among them are banks and various financial services that allow quick and convenient transfers to any bank account or card.
How to verify if a receipt is valid?
The service is simple to use. The service consumer provides a receipt code for the payment of administrative services or a money transfer between individuals. This code can then be checked on the Chek website.
When a user makes a payment through any service, they receive an electronic receipt. The document displays a 16-digit code. To verify the fact of payment for administrative services, visit the website and follow these steps:
-
select the service through which the payment was made;
-
enter the receipt code in the designated field;
-
click the «Check» button.
The status of the payment document and all the details of the transaction will then be displayed, including:
-
the sender's name;
-
the recipient's name;
-
the total amount paid;
-
the date of the transfer;
-
the purpose of the payment;
-
the number of the successful transaction.
The service will provide the necessary information in a matter of seconds. If needed, the receipt can be downloaded and printed later. The payment document will have the same format as the original.
Which important services are connected to Chek?
The system has connected services that are frequently used by citizens and entrepreneurs. Among them are:
-
Administrative Service Centers (CNAPs),
-
migration services,
-
service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (here you can get a certificate of no criminal record or a driver's license),
-
civil registry offices (for marriage, birth services, etc.),
-
Regional State Administrations (for obtaining licenses, etc.).
In the service, you can verify payments by requisites, utility payments, transfers by bank card number, or phone number.
Key advantages of the service
The receipt verification service offers the following advantages:
-
time-saving: no need to collect and store paper receipts;
-
convenience: services can be paid at any time through payment services, and only the receipt code needs to be provided to a government agency or business partner;
-
cost-saving: no need to pay additional fees for receipt printing when receiving administrative services.
Thanks to the service, Sole Proprietorships can not only send receipts electronically, for example, via email or Viber, to a business partner but also provide the 16-digit code for quick payment verification. This greatly simplifies and speeds up all types of business transactions.
