Customer screen integration — is an additional Torgsoft option that displays information about the current purchase on a separate monitor facing the customer. It is needed when there is a flow of customers at the checkout and it is important that the person sees the list of products, prices, discounts, and amount due at the moment of scanning. As a result, you get transparent checkout service without unnecessary questions and an additional screen for advertising and promotions between purchases.
The option is suitable for stores with active checkout service: grocery stores, pharmacies, cosmetics stores, and household appliance stores. It solves the familiar checkout pain point when the customer does not see what exactly the cashier is scanning, how much the item costs, and what discount has been applied, and therefore asks again or doubts the final amount.
Instead of an expensive specialized display, you can show the data on a regular monitor connected to the same computer. The customer sees the purchase contents in real time, and in standby mode, text, a photo, or a video about your store’s promotions can be displayed on the screen.

What a customer screen is
A customer screen is a separate monitor next to the checkout where the program displays information about the current sale. While the cashier scans products, the customer sees the item name, quantity, price, discount, and final amount on their screen. The data partially duplicates the cashier’s sale form, so the customer follows the purchase in real time. In standby mode, before a new purchase has started, the screen can show the date and time, advertising text, a photo, or a video.

Who does not need it. If you have one workplace without queues and customers do not pay attention to the checkout screen, a separate monitor may not bring noticeable benefit. The option also does not replace the fiscal receipt and is not needed where sales are mainly online or through self-service.

Before
The customer follows what the cashier scans by ear and asks about the price of each item. They see the final amount only after the sale is completed, and the discount has to be explained verbally.
After
On the monitor near the checkout, the customer sees each item, its price, and discount at the moment of scanning, as well as the amount due. There are fewer questions at checkout, and service is calmer.
How it works: 5 steps
Activate the option. Connect the additional «Customer display connection» function in your Torgsoft program.
Enable the screen at the workplace. On the sales form, open the «View — Customize form appearance» menu and activate the «Display customer screen» switch. This is done separately at each workplace.
Move the window to the second monitor. A separate «Customer screen» window will appear and must be moved to the monitor facing the customer. A technical possibility to connect a second monitor to the checkout computer is required (sometimes — an additional video card).
Configure fields and appearance. In the «Additional fields» menu, add SKU, barcode, discount percentage and type, bonuses accrued and paid. In the «Settings» menu, set the font, row colors, and product photo display.
Set the standby screensaver. In the «Settings — Screensaver settings» menu, choose what to show between purchases: date and time, text, image, or video, and specify the resource folder.
Important. Information about a named customer (discount percentage, debt amount, bonuses, purchase amount, last purchase date) is displayed on the screen only if it is allowed within the employee’s role-based access. If the data is not shown on the sales form, it will not appear on the customer screen either.
