Entrepreneurs often ask the following question: when accepting direct payments from legal entities or individuals to a settlement account (using IBAN details), the bank does not charge an acquiring fee, but when processing a refund of these funds to the customer, the program automatically deducted the acquiring percentage.
This led to distortions in financial accounting, because with a direct transfer the full amount is received, and it should be returned as a regular payment, without losses on fees. The special mode «Do not consider acquiring» is needed so that, during payouts and work with bank statements, the entrepreneur can correctly record the movement of funds, avoid creating unnecessary financial documents for acquiring, and maintain the accuracy of settlements with customers.
Below is a detailed instruction on how this mechanism works, where to apply it, and how to correctly configure the Torgsoft program so as not to lose money on fees.
1. The essence of the «Do not consider acquiring» function
In the Torgsoft program, you can set a percentage or amount of the bank fee (acquiring) for settlement accounts. By default, if a payment or refund goes through such an account, the program automatically creates a financial document for the fee amount.
To solve the issue with direct payments, the developers added a special switch (checkbox) «Do not consider acquiring». It is available only when selecting the «Non-cash payment method». When this switch is enabled, the financial document for charging acquiring is simply not created.
2. How does it work in different Torgsoft modes?
A. Trade with invoice issuance (TWI)
Most often, direct non-cash payments are processed specifically in wholesale trade or online store mode.
-
When you make a goods return in TWI and click the «Pay out» button, the «Money payout by invoice» form opens.
-
In this form, select the non-cash payment method and the settlement account.
-
Select the «Do not consider acquiring» checkbox. After that, the program will return the funds to the customer in full, without generating financial expenses for acquiring services.
B. Working with bank statements (Privat24, Monobank)
When loading bank statements, entrepreneurs receive already «net» amounts that were actually credited to the IBAN account (without acquiring). If such a payment is linked to an account in Torgsoft, the program could mistakenly deduct the percentage once again. To solve this:
-
Go to Settings -> Parameters -> Additional functions -> Bank account statements.
-
Pay attention to the setting «Consider acquiring when creating a payment» (it is enabled by default).
-
Also, directly on the form for editing an «undefined payment» (which comes from the statement), the «Do not consider acquiring» switch has been added. You can disable acquiring for individual direct payments, which provides flexibility in financial accounting.
C. Balance with intermediaries and repair
The payout form with the option to disable acquiring is also used during settlements with intermediaries (Marketing -> Intermediary -> Make a payout to intermediary). The state of this switch is saved in the system registry, so you will not need to click it every time. The same functionality is also available in the «Repair» module.
3. Nuances of work if the payment was made through a POS terminal

If the customer paid not by direct transfer, but specifically through a bank POS terminal in your store, the acquiring fee was legally charged by the bank. In this case, different rules apply:
-
Non-cash payment refund. If the customer paid for the goods by card through a POS terminal, the refund must be processed in the same payment method — non-cash. To do this in Torgsoft, select the option «Return in the same form in which payment for the goods was made». The program does not check whether the same customer card is used: the refund is processed by the bank terminal according to the rules of the bank and the payment system. Therefore, this option is needed primarily for correct processing of a non-cash refund through the appropriate payment channel, not for forced verification of a specific card.
-
If the terminal is unavailable. There are cases when the terminal freezes, there is no internet connection, or you process a refund offline. In this case, during the refund, you need to clear the «Use connection with bank terminal» checkbox. The program will ask for payment parameters for manual entry (to fiscalize the receipt), but it will not physically contact the terminal.
To avoid losing your own funds due to double fee deductions when refunding direct bank payments or working with statements, always use the «Do not consider acquiring» switch during non-cash payouts. This will allow you to keep accurate financial accounting in the Torgsoft program, separating real card transactions through POS terminals from regular transfers using payment details.
Legal regulations
As of 13.05.2026, the law distinguishes a regular bank transfer to IBAN from card payment through POS/internet acquiring. If the buyer paid for the goods by direct non-cash bank transfer to the seller’s settlement account, the refund is also made through the bank to the buyer’s account, and the STS explains that in this case an ECR/PECR is not used. Therefore, in Torgsoft, such an operation should be correctly processed as a non-cash payout from the settlement account, and the «Do not consider acquiring» switch should be enabled, because this is not a card acquiring transaction, but a regular bank payment; an extra acquiring fee in accounting would create a false expense here. Legal basis: Law of Ukraine «On the use of ECRs...» No. 265/95-VR, Art. 2, Art. 3; Law of Ukraine «On Payment Services» No. 1591-IX, Art. 1, Art. 43; STS clarification on refunds through a bank without an ECR. (Law of Ukraine)
If the initial payment was made by card through a POS terminal or internet acquiring, this is already a payment transaction: it must be processed through an ECR/PECR, and when refunding, an expense receipt must be generated and the funds must be returned in the same form in which the payment was made. For card payments through a POS terminal, the «Do not consider acquiring» switch is usually not used. In Torgsoft, such payments most often go through sale, and this mode does not have this checkbox. Therefore, it is impossible to disable acquiring accounting for such operations through this switch: it is intended for non-cash payouts and work with direct bank payments, not for standard card payments through a POS terminal. In practice: for IBAN payments — a non-cash payout from the account without acquiring; for POS/card payments — a refund through the appropriate payment channel, with a fiscal return receipt and accounting of the bank fee according to the rules of the agreement with the bank.
