Torgsoft integrates with bank POS terminals in Kazakhstan: Kaspi Smart POS via the KaspiPAY protocol and compatible terminals via the InpasDualConnector_1 protocol. After the connection is configured, the program automatically sends the purchase amount to the terminal. The ability to connect a specific device depends on its protocol, software, and bank settings.
How payment through a connected terminal works
The cashier adds goods to the sale, selects cashless payment and the account for payment. Torgsoft sends the amount to the bank terminal, the customer pays for the purchase, and the program receives the transaction result. The cashier does not need to enter the amount on the terminal again. This reduces the number of actions during checkout and lowers the risk of discrepancies between the sale amount and the payment amount.
Fiscal integration is configured separately for fiscal receipts. In Kazakhstan, Torgsoft supports connection to WebKassa. Bank terminal and fiscal cash register settings are checked when preparing the cashier’s workstation.
Which terminals in Kazakhstan can be connected
| Solution | Terminal type in Torgsoft | Protocol |
|---|---|---|
| Kaspi Smart POS | KaspiSmart (Pos); the update description uses the name SmartPOS | KaspiPAY |
| Compatible terminals described in the help for Kazakhstan, for example Verifone VX 520 | Verifone(СбербанкКазахстан) | InpasDualConnector_1 |
The bank name or device model alone does not confirm compatibility. The same devices may use different payment applications and settings. Before connecting, you need to check with the bank that services the terminal which protocol is available on your device and whether data exchange with the cash register program is allowed.
Kaspi Smart POS
Support for the SmartPOS terminal with automatic selection of the KaspiPAY protocol is described in the Torgsoft 2026.0.3 update. In the current help on connecting bank terminals, the device is listed as KaspiSmart (Pos) for Kazakhstan.
During setup, the corresponding terminal type is selected and the KaspiPAY protocol is checked. Connection parameters are agreed with technical support for the specific device. If this terminal type is not available in your program, tell the specialist your Torgsoft version: they will check whether an update is required.
Terminals with InpasDualConnector_1
For this connection, the Verifone type and the InpasDualConnector_1 protocol are selected in Torgsoft. The name in the interface refers to the integration option described in the help. Connecting a specific terminal that is currently serviced by another bank requires checking its current software and protocol.
The corresponding driver is installed on the computer to which the terminal is connected. DualConnector software must be installed on the computer with Torgsoft. Drivers and libraries for this connection are provided by the bank.
The terminal identifier, Terminal ID, is specified in the settings. If it is unknown, the program provides an action to obtain the terminal identifier. The device must be connected and ready to operate.
The COM port number and speed can be set manually if the parameter for ignoring the connection settings file is enabled. After that, the COM port number and speed fields are filled in.
How to prepare Torgsoft for connection
- Clarify the equipment details. Prepare the bank name, exact terminal model, and Torgsoft version. Agree with the bank on the possibility of integration and the connection parameters.
- Activate the additional option. Automatic exchange with the POS terminal requires “Integration with a bank terminal | 1-year license”, code 088.
- Check the accounting currency. In “Settings → Currency”, specify the numeric code 398 for tenge and define the national currency. This requirement is stated directly in the help for InpasDualConnector_1.
- Configure the connection. Open “Settings → Parameters → Additional functions → Bank terminal”. Add the device, select its type, and fill in the parameters of the selected protocol. Configuration is performed separately for each workstation.
- Check operation at your checkout. Together with a specialist, check amount transfer, receipt of the payment result, and available refund operations. If you use WebKassa, also check the fiscal receipt generation.
Which license is required and whether the connection can be tested
The option “Integration with a bank terminal | 1-year license”, code 088, is purchased for each computer or device where the integration is used, regardless of the Torgsoft license version.
The option can be activated free of charge for 30 days to test the connection on your equipment. During this time, you can agree the settings with the bank and technical support, check payment and refund operations, and then decide whether to purchase the annual license.
WebKassa and electronic invoices for Kazakhstan
Fiscal receipts through WebKassa
Torgsoft integrates with the WebKassa online cash register: it supports sales and refund receipts, as well as cash register reports, including X- and Z-reports. Documents can be printed on a regular receipt printer. WebKassa credentials, an API key, and the selected cash register are used for connection.
The templates for sales and refund receipts include duplication of inscriptions in Kazakh: the receipt contains inscriptions in Kazakh and Russian. This feature is described in the Torgsoft 2022.0.48 update.
WebKassa connection in Torgsoft is available as part of a separate additional option “Integration with a fiscal registrar | 1-year license”, code 097. The account and cash register in WebKassa are configured separately.
Electronic invoices
For working with electronic invoices, the option “Electronic invoice for Kazakhstan | 1-year license”, code 101, is provided. It allows you to create electronic invoices, export documents for IS ESF, import incoming invoices, and create purchase invoices based on them.
This option is connected when the store needs the corresponding document flow. It is not required to send the purchase amount to the POS terminal.
What to tell technical support for connection
Write which bank services the terminal, specify its exact model and the installed Torgsoft version. If the connection protocol is known, add its name. This data will help check compatibility and determine which settings are required from the bank and the program.
