Why verification is needed
The “Discount Card Verification by SMS” option checks that the card or bonuses are being used by the customer whose phone number is recorded in the database. Verification can be used during sales, returns, and bonus payments. The customer receives a code, which the cashier enters into the program before completing the transaction.
What to configure
Before using this feature, connect an SMS service, check the phone number in the customer card, and select in Torgsoft settings which transactions require a code. Then run a test with a discount card and bonuses: check message delivery and how the checkout behaves. The 2017 video shows the previous settings layout; current fields are described in the help documentation.
