Store requirements
Before choosing a license, list the number of retail locations and workstations, the required modes, and the equipment. Separately check the requirements for computers, the database, and how stores will access it. This 2014 webinar explains the decision-making logic, but package names, licensing terms, and system requirements may have changed since then.
Employee permissions
Assign access by role: a salesperson, inventory specialist, cashier, and manager perform different operations. After setup, use a test user to check sales, returns, discounts, and document handling. Before purchasing, confirm current license options and the availability of the features you need using the latest description, not the prices shown in the video.
