Staff Alerts — is a Torgsoft option that allows you to send messages to all or selected program employees and record the fact that they have read them.
The owner or manager publishes an announcement, instruction, or task — the message appears on employees’ work computers at the specified time. The employee confirms that they have read it before continuing work. The log stores who read each message and when.
The option is needed for businesses that do not have a corporate messenger but need to deliver information to all shifts. It is suitable for retail chains, manufacturing enterprises, and coffee shops with several shifts. It works with all Torgsoft licenses.

What are staff alerts
Staff alerts are internal messages that appear on employees’ work computers directly in Torgsoft. The manager creates a message, sets the display time and list of recipients, and the program delivers it at the right moment and records who clicked the confirmation button. In Torgsoft Help, this function is described as the Collective Alert mode.
The option works in the company’s local network or via a terminal server, so service messages do not need to be duplicated in third-party messengers.
Basic concepts
Subject
A short message heading that the employee sees first.
Message type
Alert design: background color, font, and blinking to draw attention.
Sending interval
The time in minutes after which the message repeats. Zero means display within three minutes.
Acknowledged
The button by which the employee confirms that they have read the message.
Blocking
The message appears above other windows and blocks work until the employee confirms that they have read it.
Log
A table with delivery time, read time, and response speed for each employee.

Who does not need it. An owner who works alone at one computer without hired employees. The option also will not work if the computers are not connected to one local network and no terminal server is used.

What tasks the option solves
What it looks like before and after
Before
Orders are passed on verbally or in a general messenger chat. Some employees do not see them, and it is impossible to prove who has read them. The manager walks around the outlets and repeats the same thing.
After
The message appears on the screens of selected employees at the specified time. Everyone confirms reading with a button, and the log shows the delivery time, reading time, and those who have not responded yet.
How it works: 6 steps
Step 1. Enable the function. In the Settings — Parameters — Retail Network menu, tick «Enable collective alert», save the changes, and restart the program.
Step 2. Create a message. In the Settings — Collective Alert menu, click «Add» and fill in the Subject and Message Text that the staff will see.
Step 3. Select the type. Set the Message Type — background color, font, and blinking if needed. The preview is shown immediately at the bottom of the window.
Step 4. Set the time. Select the display date and time. If needed, specify the Sending interval in minutes for repetitions. If the value is zero, the message will appear within three minutes.
Step 5. Select recipients. Click «Select users» and mark the required employees or click «Select all». Save the message.
Step 6. Control acknowledgement. The window appears above others and closes only after clicking «Acknowledged». In the Collective Alert log, delivery time, acknowledgement time, and response speed are visible.
Important. All computers must be connected to one local network, or a terminal server must be used. The sending list displays users who are working in the program at that moment and have access to the accounting center (warehouse) from which the message is sent.

After activating the option, the manager created an alert with the subject «Stocktaking» and selected all sellers. Each confirmed that they had read it before the start of the shift, and those who did not respond were shown in red in the log, so the manager called them separately. The preparation went without inconsistencies.
