When customers pay invoices via IBAN, business owners need to see these incoming payments not only in their bank accounts but also in Torgsoft. The paid «Bank Statements» option is designed for this purpose: the software retrieves transactions from connected PrivatBank, monobank, and UKRSIBBANK accounts. Several questions may arise when using this feature: how to connect a particular bank, which details to obtain from the bank's online business portal, why statements suddenly stop downloading, and why one user can view them while another cannot.
How bank statements work in Torgsoft
In Torgsoft, a separate connection configuration is created for each bank account. In the interface, it is called Merchant. In this context, it is simply a profile that specifies:
-
which bank is used;
-
which account transactions should be retrieved from;
-
which Torgsoft bank account is linked to it;
-
which credentials are required to access the bank's API;
-
which Torgsoft users are authorized to view these statements.
Once configured, statements can be accessed through Payment → Bank Account Statements. Select a period and click «Get Statements». Torgsoft will display the transactions returned by the bank for the selected period.
What to check before connecting a bank
Before configuration, it is best to check four things.
-
The «Bank Statements» option is activated.
-
The required bank account has already been created in Torgsoft with the correct IBAN and currency.
-
You have access to the bank's business portal where this account is held.
-
The latest version of Torgsoft is installed. This is particularly important for banking integrations: banks may change their API requirements, and older software versions may not yet support those changes.
Then open Settings → Bank Account Statement Settings, create a new connection, and select the appropriate Merchant Type.

PrivatBank: configuring statements through Privat24 for Business
For PrivatBank, Torgsoft uses the «AutoClient» integration / Privat24 for Business API.
In the current PrivatBank interface, the integration is located under «Accounting and Reports» → «Integration (AutoClient)». There, you can connect the API and obtain the credentials needed to integrate with accounting software.
What to do in Privat24
-
Sign in to Privat24 for Business under the correct company.
-
Open the «AutoClient» integration.
-
Enable the API.
-
Create an integration for Torgsoft.
-
Obtain the authorization credentials. Each time you open the token and identifier section in AutoClient, new tokens may be generated. Therefore, after every visit to these settings, you must update the tokens in Torgsoft.
If several Sole Proprietorships or legal entities are connected in Privat24, check which business is currently selected before creating the integration. Otherwise, you may obtain access to the wrong accounts.
What to enter in Torgsoft
When creating a connection, select Merchant Type → PrivatBank and complete the following fields:
-
Card Number (Account) — the full IBAN;
-
Client Identifier — the integration ID;
-
Account Name — a recognizable name for your own reference;
-
Bank Account — the corresponding account created in Torgsoft;
-
«AutoClient» Token — the token obtained from Privat24.

The IBAN must belong to an account accessible under the business for which the Privat24 integration was created.
If PrivatBank statements suddenly stop downloading
First, check:
-
whether the IBAN is correct;
-
whether the integration is working in Privat24;
-
whether the ID or token has changed;
-
whether the latest version of Torgsoft is installed.
A specific case is the error message: No mapping for the Unicode character exists in the target multi-byte code page
In September 2026, this issue occurred after changes made by PrivatBank: the bank changed its encoding handling and began validating request types more strictly. Torgsoft fixed the corresponding API integration issue. Therefore, if you see this message, there is no need to change the account or manually correct statement data — first update Torgsoft to the latest version.
monobank: personal account, Sole Proprietorship, or legal entity
In Torgsoft, for monobank, select Merchant Type → MonoBank.
Next, specify the account type:
-
Personal/Sole Proprietorship;
-
Legal entity account.
The connection uses a MonoBankAPI token. The Torgsoft documentation specifies api.monobank.ua as the place to obtain it: the user authorizes access via a QR code and receives an access token.
For a Sole Proprietorship or personal account
-
Obtain a monobank token.
-
Paste it into the «MonoBankAPI Token» field.
-
Click «Load Accounts».
-
Select the required account.
-
Link it to the corresponding Torgsoft bank account.
For a legal entity
After selecting the appropriate account type, enter the account number manually. For these accounts, Torgsoft can also retrieve information about the sender and recipient of a payment.
If monobank does not return a statement
Check the following in sequence:
-
whether the token was obtained for the correct account;
-
whether the correct account type is selected;
-
whether you selected the account that actually has transactions;
-
whether it is correctly linked to the Torgsoft bank account;
-
whether any transactions exist in monobank for the selected period.
For the first check, it is better to request a short period, such as today or the last one or two days. This makes it easier to distinguish a connection problem from a situation where there simply are no transactions during the selected period.
UKRSIBBANK: why the configuration is different
Connecting UKRSIBBANK is more complex because cryptographic keys are required in addition to access to the bank's online business portal.
In simple terms, the keys allow the bank to verify that a statement request comes from an authorized Torgsoft connection.
Step 1. Install OpenSSL
For UKRSIBBANK integration, the Torgsoft documentation requires the 32-bit version of OpenSSL. It is used to generate keys for secure communication with the bank.
After selecting Merchant Type → UKRSIBBANK in Torgsoft, the «Generate Keys» function becomes available.
Step 2. Generate private and public keys
Torgsoft creates two files:
-
the private key remains with the business owner and is used for the integration;
-
the public key is provided to UKRSIBBANK.
You can set a password for the private key. After generating the keys, make sure you remember where the files are stored.
Step 3. Obtain the parameters from the bank
The public key is submitted to UKRSIBBANK to enable API access. After registration, the bank provides the Client_ID and Client_secret parameters.
Enter them into the corresponding Torgsoft connection fields along with the account IBAN.
Do not expose your Client_secret, private key, or its password in screenshots or correspondence.
Step 4. Sign in to UKRSIB business
When retrieving a statement, Torgsoft opens the UKRSIB business authorization page. After successful sign-in, the software obtains a token for communicating with the bank.
If a day has passed since the last authorization, you need to sign in again. This is a normal part of the integration process, not an indication of a malfunction.

It is important to check possible causes one at a time. If PrivatBank works but UKRSIBBANK does not, first check the UKRSIBBANK configuration specifically.
How to grant access to an accountant or manager
Statement access can be configured separately for each user.
Three access levels are available for a bank account:
-
Incoming Transactions — the user can view incoming transactions;
-
Outgoing Transactions — the user can view outgoing transactions;
-
Full Access — the user can view all account transactions.
Therefore, if the owner can see the statements but the manager sees an empty list or lacks the required access, this does not necessarily indicate a problem with the bank. Check the user's permissions first.
How to verify the connection after configuration
After completing the setup, do not start by requesting statements for several months.
-
Open the bank's online business portal and find a day when transactions definitely occurred.
-
In Torgsoft, open Payment → Bank Account Statements.
-
Select the same account.
-
Set a short period — one or two days.
-
Click «Get Statements».
-
Compare several transactions with the bank's online business portal: the date, amount, and payment description.
If the transactions match, the bank connection itself is working. You can then configure how incoming payments are handled in Torgsoft.
When to contact technical support
You should contact support if you have already verified the account, access permissions, and authorization credentials, but the bank still does not return statements or the software displays a technical error message.
To avoid spending time rechecking obvious details, provide the support specialist with:
-
the bank's name;
-
the Torgsoft version;
-
the type of account being used;
-
the period for which you are retrieving statements;
-
the exact error message;
-
the step at which the error occurs.
Do not send tokens, Client_secret, passwords, or private key files in regular messages or screenshots.
