How to change prices for a product group and monitor the result: step-by-step instructions
Bulk price changes in Torgsoft can be made in two main ways: a quick method (via «Stock Status») and a more controlled method (via «Revaluation Act»). For safety and control, it is recommended to follow a specific sequence of actions.
1. Preparation and Filtering (The First Safety Stage)

Before changing prices, you need to accurately select the product group so that you do not accidentally change prices for unnecessary items.
-
Go to the menu Warehouse — Stock Status.
-
Click the Filters (F12) button. The filtering parameters window will open.
-
Select the required criteria: Product Type (group), Manufacturer, Supplier, or Season.
-
Click Select. The table will display only the products that match your request.
-
Control. Visually check the list. If it contains extra products, refine the filters.
2. Method No. 1: Quick Bulk Change (via Stock Status)

This method is suitable if you are confident in the selection and want to change prices instantly (for example, raise them by 10% for the entire brand).
-
In the filtered list, press Ctrl + A to select all products, or select the required ones manually (using Shift or Ctrl).
-
Click the Product Sales Terms button and select Change Selling Price.
-
The Warehouse Price Change Parameters window will open. This is the main control stage before applying the change:
-
Action. Select «Increase», «Decrease», or «Set».
-
Value. Enter the number in the «by» field and select the type — in percent or in currency (UAH).
-
Price Type. Specify which price to change — «Retail Price» and/or «Wholesale Price».
-
Rounding. Be sure to check the rounding settings (for example, to whole numbers or to 10 kopecks) so that you do not get prices like UAH 99.994.
-
Important control. At the bottom of this window, the Product List for which the change will be applied is displayed. Review it once again before clicking the button.
-
Click Change Price. The changes will be applied instantly.
3. Method No. 2: Safe Change (via Revaluation Act)

This method is recommended for large-scale revaluations because it allows you to prepare new prices, check them, print price tags, and only then apply them.
-
Go to the menu Document — Revaluation Act.
-
Create a new act (the Add button), fill in the comment (for example, "Seasonal increase for footwear").
-
In the lower section (Act Contents), click Add -> Select Product from Warehouse.
-
Use filters (the same as in Method No. 1), select the products, and click Select.
-
In the add window, you can bulk set a new price or discount. But for bulk changes to products already added to the act, it is better to use the next step.
-
Bulk change in the act. Select the products in the act, click the Change New Selling Prices button. The same window as in Method No. 1 will open, where you can set the % of change.
-
Control. You can see the "Old Price" and "New Price" columns. If something is wrong, you have not changed anything in the database yet.
-
Printing price tags. Directly from the act, you can click Print Labels to prepare price tags before the new prices take effect.
-
Application. Only when everything has been checked, click the Apply Revaluation button. The program will ask at which retail locations to apply the changes.
4. How to Control What Has Changed?

If you used the quick method or want to check the history of changes:
-
"Selling Price Changes" report:
-
Go to Warehouse — Selling Price Changes.
-
Set the period (for example, today).
-
You will see a list of all products whose price was changed, with the old and new price, as well as the surname of the user who made the change. Here you can also cancel the price change if a mistake was made.
-
Revaluation Protocol:
-
The menu Document — Revaluation Protocol (or via Warehouse — Stock Status — Revaluation Protocol) shows products for which any retail price change occurred during the period. Important: the revaluation protocol is generated if the setting «Include Product Quantity in Revaluation Protocol» is enabled in the settings.
Important Warnings
-
Network synchronization. If you have a retail chain and the «Maintain Same Prices at All Retail Locations» checkbox is enabled in the settings, then changing the price at the main warehouse (or central location) will automatically change prices in all stores.
-
Rounding. If you apply a markup in percent (for example, +15%), be sure to choose a rounding method (to UAH 1, to 50 kopecks, etc.), otherwise the prices will be inconvenient for cash payments.
-
Set Discount vs Change Price. Differentiate between changing the retail price (the base product price) and setting a product discount. A product discount has priority over customer discount cards. If your goal is to change the price tag, use «Change Selling Price». If it is a temporary promotion, it is better to use «Set Discount for Product».
