How to set up the Torgsoft mobile app?

Video instruction:

To set up and start working with the mobile app, complete 6 steps:

  • 00:08 Application server port in settings
  • 00:19 Open the port in the firewall
  • 01:24 Open the port on the router
  • 02:19 Open access for users
  • 03:01 Sign in to the mobile app

Step 1. Activating the “Mobile App” option

To activate the additional “Mobile App” function in the Torgsoft program, go to Settings → List of Additional Functions → Option Code 060 “Torgsoft Mobile App”.

Click the button:

  • “Activate for 30 days” if you have not yet purchased a license for the mobile app and want to test the app’s capabilities,
  • or “Activate” if the function has already been purchased: enter the activation code, which can be obtained from technical support, read and accept the license agreement, and click “Activate”.

Step 2. Server port for the mobile app

In Torgsoft → Settings → Parameters → Service → Application Server → Configure Application Server, you can see the port that will need to be opened in the firewall and on the router.

Please note that port 6002 of the application server is used to connect to the demo database. In all other cases, port 6001 is used by default.

The port can be changed if needed.

Step 3. Open the port in the firewall

Open Windows Firewall from the menu Start → Control Panel → Windows Firewall → Advanced Settings

Create a rule for inbound and outbound TCP port connections: in the left panel, select Inbound Rules → Create Rule: rule type “Port”, data transfer protocol “TCP”, local ports — enter server port 6001 (or 6002), specify the action “Allow the connection”, select all profiles, and specify any name for the rule, for example, “6001TCP”.

The rule for outbound connection is created in the same way.

Step 4. Open the port on the router

For a stable connection of the mobile app to the database, the internet connection on the server must have a static, permanent IP address. This option can be ordered additionally from your provider.

To access the mobile app, you need to open port 6001 on your router. Each router has a unique interface — port forwarding settings can be found using the example in the video lesson or in the router manual.

You can check whether the port is open for your IP address on the website 2ip.ua

Step 5. Open user access in the Torgsoft accounting program.

Each user can be granted access only to the specific mobile app menu items needed for their work in Torgsoft → Settings → Users.
