How to add new seller and create a user in Torgsoft accounting program
For a seller to be able to work in Torgsoft, you need to create a user for them to log into the program, link this account to an employee card, and configure working time tracking by badge. This instruction shows the entire process from creating a login to preparing the login to the program and registering sales.
Before configuring, check that the role, accounting center, place of work, cash register, and category are correctly selected for the employee. If you make a mistake in these fields, the seller may receive the wrong access rights, work in the wrong store, or conduct operations through the wrong cash register. If there is a doubt about exactly which role or login scheme should be applied in your database, it is better to clarify this with technical support first.
Step 1. Creating a user (login account)
- Go to «Settings» ⟶ «Users».
- Click the «Add» button.
- In the window that appears, fill in:
- Full user name (for example, the cashier's full name or «Seller 1»).
- Current accounting center — select the store where the employee will work from the list.
- Registration name (Eng) — enter the login in English without spaces (for example, seller).
- Click the «Create» button and enter the password for this account twice.
- Select a role from the list (for example, «Seller») to set the appropriate access rights.
- In the «Method of working time tracking» field, select the «by badge» option.
- Click the «Shortcut» button. The program will ask whether to enter the password automatically — agree or decline, select the desktop as the save location, and click «Save».
Step 2. Creating an employee and linking a user to them
- Go to «Settings» ⟶ «Employee».
- Click the «Add» button.
- Fill in the required fields:
- Full name — specify the employee's last name, first name, and patronymic.
- Category — be sure to select «Seller» from the list (this is important for the correct application of rights restrictions).
- Registration name when logging into the program — select the user you created in Step 1 from the list.
- Place of work — specify the accounting center (store).
- Cash register — select the cash register where the money will be received.
- Click «Save». The program will automatically generate a unique barcode (badge) for this seller, which can be printed.
Result: the created shortcut will appear on the desktop. The employee launches Torgsoft through it (if automatic password entry is configured — the program will open immediately, otherwise — the password must be entered). To register time and perform sales, the seller simply scans their badge.
