How bonuses work
With a bonus system, part of the purchase amount is credited to the customer’s card bonus account. Earned bonuses can be used to pay for later purchases according to the store’s rules. Unlike a regular discount, bonuses may not become available immediately: the accrual period is set in the card type settings. Before launch, decide which products earn bonuses, when customers can use them, and what portion of a purchase can be paid with bonuses.
Card and policy settings
In the “Маркетинг” section, create a discount card type and configure the bonus system tab: the accrual period, possible expiration, and limits on bonus payments. Then, in the discount policy, set the accumulation thresholds and bonus percentages for this card type. For the customer, select “Бонусна система” as the accrual method and choose the required card type. If the loyalty program has several tiers, check the conditions for moving between card types. The video shows an older interface version; before applying these steps, verify the field names in the current help documentation.
Checking during a sale
Run a test sale with a customer card and check how many bonuses are credited and when they become available. Then check partial payment with bonuses, the card balance, and a product return. Bonuses may not be earned on products with a product discount, promotion, or wholesale price; this depends on the program rules. The salesperson should be able to see the bonus balance clearly and explain the terms of use to the customer.
