This video is from 2017. The program design has changed considerably, and it has gained more features. However, the way many modes work has stayed the same or remains very similar. We are updating the knowledge base and video lessons. Since 2022, videos have been exclusively in Ukrainian.
Why a backup is needed
A database backup helps restore records after computer damage or the loss of local files. The cloud archive option creates a copy on a schedule and sends it to Google Drive. Before setup, decide which account will be responsible, where the backup will be stored, how often it will run, and how much storage space is available. Store the information needed for recovery separately in a place the owner can access.
Checking the archive
Enabling a schedule is not enough: regularly check the time of the last successful backup, the file size, and whether it is available in the cloud. Under the responsible employee’s supervision, test recovery in a separate environment without overwriting the working database. The 2017 video shows an older version of the settings; check the current documentation for the option’s requirements and recovery procedure.
