What Hybrid is for
Torgsoft Hybrid is an additional feature for terminal operation with a remote server. It is installed on the checkout computer and lets you continue selling when the internet connection is lost. Before the first offline session, you need to make a sale online so the local program receives the necessary data. After the connection is interrupted, the interface shows offline mode and the number of packages awaiting transfer.
Sales and synchronization
The cashier records sales in the local program. Transactions are saved on that computer, and after the connection is restored, the packages are sent to the server and appear in the main database. After synchronization, check that the package queue is empty and that the sales appear in the central records. Receipt printing and equipment integrations depend on the settings for the corresponding features.
Offline mode limitations
Product returns in Torgsoft Hybrid can currently be processed only online; this mode is unavailable without a connection. Offline mode also does not support complex promotions or working with VIP customers. The 2017 video shows an older version, so check the current capabilities and settings in the help and option description before working.
