Scope of clearing
The function for deleting closed-period statistics applies to old inventory, financial, and other operations for a selected completed period. This is not simply hiding rows in a report: after clearing, the history of some documents will no longer be available in the working database. Before starting, set the cutoff date and list the data that needs to be retained.
Preparation and checks
Before any clearing, make a backup and have the person responsible for the database check that it can be restored. Reconcile inventory balances and settlements with customers and suppliers before and after the operation. Perform it only in accordance with the current instructions and after consulting the accountant if the documents are needed for accounting or reporting.
