Different Types of Goods
For pet food and litter, set the unit of measure and sales method: full package, by weight, or by prepackaged quantity. Track bundled goods by their components so that a sale updates the stock of the relevant items. When receiving goods, check the batch and labels; at checkout, check the quantity, price, and discount according to store policy.
Services and Controls
Record grooming, equipment rental, and other services separately from goods so sales and stock are not mixed. If a manufacturer promotion applies, check the list of items and the promotion period on a test receipt. The 2014 webinar shows inventory principles in an older version of the program; verify the current commands before starting the process.
