Receipt Printer: Choosing and Testing

29.11.2013 00:00

This video dates from 2013. The program’s design has changed considerably, and it has gained more features. However, the way many modes work has stayed the same or remains very similar. We are updating our knowledge base and video lessons. Since 2022, videos have been exclusively in Ukrainian.

Printer specifications

This older review compares receipt printers available when it was recorded in 2013. When choosing a current model, check the paper roll width, connection method, compatibility with your computer and driver, print speed, and print quality. Make sure the template can fit the product name, price, total, and required details. The specific models shown in the video may no longer be sold or supported.

Test with Torgsoft

Connect the printer at the actual point of use and select it in the print settings. Make a test sale and check the receipt on your paper roll: make sure product names, quantities, discounts, and the total are readable. A non-fiscal printer does not make a receipt fiscal by itself; fiscalization requires a configured RRO or software RRO and a suitable print template. Check the setup checklist for current steps.
