This video is from 2011. The program’s design has changed considerably, and it has gained more features. However, the way many modes work has stayed the same or is very similar. We are updating our knowledge base and video lessons. Since 2022, videos have been in Ukrainian only.
When to change a role
A role is a set of permissions for a particular job. The standard salesperson role is usually kept limited: sales and returns are available, while changes to the product directory, purchase prices, and financial reports are granted only to those who need them. If an employee needs to receive goods or carry out stocktaking, check their access to the relevant menu items and forms. Expanding a role’s permissions affects all users assigned to it; for a different set of duties, it is better to create a separate role.
Checking after configuration
After changing a role, sign in to the program using the employee’s account and check specific actions: opening a form, selecting an accounting center, viewing prices, and saving a document. Some restrictions may be set in the user’s own profile, so check both the role and the user’s individual settings. This video was recorded in 2011 for an older version; to work with the current program, use the up-to-date guide and a newer video lesson.
