Wholesale policy by groups: how to set pricing rules depending on the quantity in the check
To configure the pricing rules based on the quantity of products in the cart by product groups in Torgsoft, the additional feature «Wholesale Price Policy» is used. It allows you to automatically change the price to wholesale (or apply a discount) when a certain number of product units are added to the sale.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to set it up, based on the provided sources.
1. Activating the feature

First, make sure the feature is activated, and the appropriate mode is selected in the program settings:
-
Go to the menu Settings — Parameters — Accounting.
-
In the field «Switch from retail prices to wholesale based on quantity» select «Use wholesale price policy» from the list.
-
Go to the menu Settings — Parameters — Discounts.
-
Next to "Sales conditions settings" - "Advanced", click the "Settings" button - in the "Advanced mode settings" window, enable the switch "Apply discounts to wholesale sales". Click «Save»
-
In the «Parameters» form, click «Save» and restart the program.
2. Configuring price policy

Configuration is done in the menu Marketing — Wholesale Price Policy. The window is divided into two parts: the upper (for selecting product groups) and the lower (for setting quantity thresholds).
Step A: Selecting product group
- In the upper part of the window, first select the desired value in the "Price calculation method" field, then click the Add button.
- Product type directory will open. Choose the product type branch that the rules will apply to.
- Click Save.
Important. Rules apply to products belonging to the selected final branch.
Step B: Setting rules (thresholds)
In the lower part of the window for the selected group, set the conditions for price changes:
1. Click the Add button in the lower part of the window.
2. Fill in the fields in the «Transition thresholds» window:
- Name. Enter a clear name (for example, «Small wholesale» or «From 5 pcs.»).
- Quantity. Specify the quantity of products, when added to the cart, the new price will apply (for example, 5).
- Markup / Discount, %. Specify the percentage. This can be either a markup from the accounting (purchase) price or a discount from the retail price — depending on the price formation method you choose.
3. Click Save.
You can create several thresholds for one group. For example:
- from 5 pcs. — 15% discount;
- from 10 pcs. — 30% discount;
- from 20 pcs. — 40% discount.
3. Applying prices (Price list formation)

After creating the rules, you need to apply them to the products:
- In the same window (Marketing — Wholesale Price Policy) first select the product group name, then click the «Generate wholesale prices» button.
- The program will automatically calculate and record the wholesale prices for all products in the selected group according to the set thresholds.
4. How it works in sales
When adding a product to the sale, the program checks the quantity:
- If the quantity in the cart reaches the set threshold (for example, 5 pcs.), the price automatically changes to the wholesale price you created.
- The price is substituted according to the policy for this quantity.
Additional features and nuances:
- Individual adjustment. You can manually change the wholesale prices for a specific product. To do this, go to Stock — Stock status, open the product card (double click), click the «Wholesale prices» button and adjust the values manually.
- Store restrictions. You can prohibit switching to wholesale prices in a specific store. This is done in the menu Settings — Retail network — Accounting center (Settings tab), by checking the box «Prohibit switching to wholesale prices based on quantity of goods».
- Customer discounts. By default, discount card discounts do not apply to wholesale prices. If you want them to be cumulative or active, you need to enable the «Apply discounts to wholesale sales» setting in the discount settings (Settings — Parameters — Discounts — Settings).
- Price list. You can print a wholesale price list with price gradation depending on quantity by clicking the «Print wholesale price list» button in the «Marketing» - «Wholesale price policy» window.
